I have a problem with the above stated... not sure if they are related or not.  Can someone guide me in the right direction here?

*already replaced the high/low beam dimmer switch and that changed nothing*

Thanks

If these are the only electrical problems you have, they're not likely related.
No hi beams is most likely at the switch-check that the connector hasn't melted some and insulated the hi beam wire, or corrosion hasn't got to it. Verify the connectors at the bulbs too, and the radiator support ground connection.

The brake lights could be a sticking switch or faulty connection at the switch, or a problem with the wiring at the emergency flasher or turn signal harness.

69 and earliers changes a little bit due the dash hazzard switch location, but pretty much the same to check turning switch, just that as far I remember brakes light goes through hazzard switch before the column switch

Check the welded splices, the welded splices, the welded splices............my stereo, back up lights, heater and half of my brake light were not working, found one of the the welded splices was corroded and melted......Now everything works properly

Oh and did I mention to check the welded splices?

PFA42

Now if I can figure out what welded splices are I'll be good to go

Look on your wiring diagrams, they are labeled as such, if not.........

Hard to explain what they look like, the best I can do is say that they look a little like an octopus, black dot with a bunch of wires poked into it. Most likely all black wires.

The bad one that I found in main the harness had 4 or 5 black wires tied into it with a pink wire.....all were melted and corroded

Sorry I can't be more specific

PFA42

Got it. Are they located all over or in certain areas?

HANDM

The one that I had trouble with was on the main harness ,roughly behind the fuel gauge just before the printed circuit board connector/ lighting wires branch out........

I just had my friggin dash out again today and should have taken pics of my splice  :brickwall:

Brake lights and flashers might have something to do with your turn-signal switch in your steering column. I've had numerous Mopars in which one side or the other brake light didn't work or was touchy. Turns out the circuit does go through the turn-signal switch in the column...
