Petri.

Hi,went cruising last weekend and noticed yesterday when i was going to clean it inside that it was wet att the passenger carpet,we used the heat in the car because it was pretty cold at the night,i have used the heat one time before and did not notice any leaking that time,i know that the heat has not been used in many years in it when it was in the states but here in sweden it is good to have,it is a a/c box and it is engine water at the carpet,i think it comes down at the center of heater box a bit upp from the gearbox tunnel,so what do you think is it the core that leaks or can it be somewhere else it comes from and is it any differense how the water goes when the heat is on or off,i was thinking if it only leaks when heat is on if that is possible,it is a charger 68.

The heater core was the first thing that I replaced on my car all those many years ago.  Year One has them for 75 bucks or so.  If you don't use the heater you can just take off the hoses and connect the supply and return ports on the block with a short piece of hose.  Looks kind of funky though....

Make sure you get the A/C kind. I bought mine from Classic Auto Air for $250 two years ago.

Hi Petri, if all the hose clamps are tight and there's no evidence of leakage around them then the core is highly suspect.

factory air cars are known for water valve leaks , and if you don't diagnose it right you'll swear it's a heater core leaking
