I am installing a mopar electronic ignition kit on my 318 1970 charger.  I have a new standard coil on it now.  Can I use this coil with the new eletronic ignition system?

Ok I installed it with the stock coil.  Seems to run good but the alternator gauge now shows negative charge?  Any ideas?
