Say you had 7k to spend on your car. What would you do? My charger is in the process of being restored, body work wont be done for about another 2 years but will be replacing the interior. So far all I have done is the motor and trans, also I have the alterktion and street lynx suspension, just have to instal it. need fuel pump lines brake line radiator. I was thinking if i had that money i would go get a super charger like one of these http://www.dyersblowers.com/187/index.html in adition of what i still have to buy.

Each person's/car's situation is different, but if it were my car I'd have my tranny rebuilt with a stage 2 shift kit, the new torque converter I need and a Gear Vendors overdrive put on, also a new 3.55 or 3.73 SG rear pumpkin.  If there were any left over I'd consider a cam change so I can ditch the vacuum pump.

hmm that gives me an idea with the rear end, i need a sure grip back there

Rolling_Thunder

3.91 sure grip (~$750) , Gear Vendors (~$2700), EFI...  (~3600) -----   that's my recommendation for a car like yours....

For my charger...    well....     I would put the $7000 into the parts i need to install the T56...    then the rest into a supercharger

For my Road Runner...   the $7000 would go to a cheap paint job, interior, and engine build...
1968 Dodge Charger - 6.1L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.55 Sure Grip

2013 Dodge Challenger R/T - 5.7L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.73 Limited Slip

1964 Dodge Polara 500 - 440 / 4-speed / 3.91 Sure Grip

1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye - 340 / A-518 / 3.23 Sure Grip

GPULLER

I'd get a Procharger kit from The Supercharger Store and a truck load of junkyard 400's and let the fun begin!

xpbprox

so you guys would rather get a procharger than a nice looking blower. Is there big differences in performance or price?

So I will be the first to say what should be said. You will need 14k, because what you spend 7k on your wife or girlfriend will want to spend 7k also.  But would probably spend it on bodywork for the cars.

I'd rebuild the motor to at least 500hp, power disc brake setup, rechrome the bumpers, door weatherstripping, redo misc. trim...that's about all it needs!  :2thumbs:

Save another 7k and build me a Hemi for the 69

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Put 6k toward kids college, or retirement, spend the rest on something fun - possibly the car. :Twocents:
