What is a safe replacement interval for rubber lined braided lines used for gasoline and synthetic oil?

HPP

No more than 24 months to be on the safe side. Maybe sooner if there is any ethenol blend in the fuel

You should always use the right type of rubber hose for the application never use a standard rubber hose for fuel or oil.

Jegs Pro flow nitrill rubber lined.  I only use flexible fuel lines from the frame to the fuel pump and back to the frame , then stainless hard lines up the fender and along the fender brace ,then a short section of flexible hose to the carb. I have been using Gates fuel line and changing it every two years. With the headers not that far from the fuel pump , I thought about going to braided stainless. I did use five feet of AN 10 to plumb my oil cooler.

i know its used in millions of applications  , but never been a fan of braided rubber !  because you cant see what condition the rubber is in !! few years down the line  :scratchchin:

Aint that the truth.

I had some stainless braid running from the regulator on the fender to the carb. It was  about 3 years old. It looked great after sitting for the winter. Flipped the switch on the pump to prime the carb and fuel started spraying out of it like a fountain. Glad the pump was on a seperate circuit from the ignition because if it was spraying like that with the engine running, the likely hood of fire would have been huge.

We use it on aircraft ,but it is higher spec. & price. Maybe I will just stick with the Gates (USA) hose and change it regularly. I am not going to install it just for the bling.

Thanks,Craig
