Consider yourself lucky then.

Genius cinema that some people won't get... fan of "titanic" I assume?

The car guy community says, "I didn't really like Deathproof personally.  I guess you just had to be more of a hardcore 70s film geek than I am."

Then there are us car fanatics who dig Tarantino flicks...

THE CHARGER PUNK

Agreed, just watched it again tonight . I love that movie and that 69 in it is my favourite movie car. :2thumbs:-Matt

The LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG dialog scenes from DeathProof  was painful to sit through. Every Tarantino movie is dialog rich, but watching women sit around and talk is too boring for me. I hate to see classic Mopars getting destroyed too. The chase scenes were okay. What I liked about the Planet Terror/Deathproof schmere was the intentional overall "cheesiness" of the film quality. The movie "trailers" were also fun. The slasher flick MACHETE was interesting enough to execs, they made a movie from a FAKE trailer! Now if they would do the same with the trailer of Thanksgiving!

I do not like to see classic mopars being destroyed. I really didn't like this movie. I also don't like to see 69 chargers gettting destroyed at Dukes fest either. These cars are rare enough. There is a new movie with Nicolas Cage that has a Charger in it. I'm sure that will get destroyed as well. I have no idea what the fascination is with destroying Chargers and challengers in movies these days. Mopars are the best muscle cars ever. Stop destroying them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame:

Drive Angry. In fact the Charger is almost a main character for the first 3/4 of the movie as they mention it by name and by engine size, it's a '69 R/T to boot (or at least supposed to be one).

Anyways the car gets a little banged up but nothing a few body panels wouldn't fix....

I was hoping the David Morse character would say "It'll take a while to fix/I'll need to get a new engine put in there" or something of that ilk and not just "can't fix it".

However, as a movie with a Charger in it, not only does the car get respect but actually not get completely trashed and wasted. Sure, it gets banged up but it's all fixable stuff.

Stupid fun movie though, I can see Drive Angry becoming a midnight movie/having fans that like bad cinema. Had a lot more fun with it than I did Machete...

I actually liked it due to the "B" sort of feel of the movie. Maybe it's because I was at work bored but I sort of enjoyed the movie.

You get paid to be bored and watch movies at "work"?

Maybe instead of work you could use the term " place of employment". That will keep us from crying.

Quotebut watching women sit around and talk is too boring for me.

That is is the best movie review I have ever read.

Right. Skip to the part where they all leave the bar (with a short peek at the jukebox scene) and start the move from there.
