I posted a month an a half ago when my father was told he had terminal cancer. He lost the fight on january the second. He was 58 years old and a great man. We had so much love come out of the community for him. We stood at the funeral home from 5:00 to 11:45 and did not see everyone who came out. The local paper did a great article on him and the news station even did a segment on him. I am 27 years old and he has left me with a lot of weight on my shoulders from his WWII airplanes to the family company. I am going to miss him greatly. I know with his passion for life and the lord he is in a better place now. Thanks to all the people who prayed for him.

Sounds like a great father and a good man....I'm sorry for your loss. I too lost my father to cancer just 3 years ago and I miss him a lot, and I think about him daily. With faith in the Lord you know he is in a better place, and even though he has left a lot behind for you to manage, place your faith in the Lord and it will fall into place. Hang in there - many blessings...

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

My sympathies as well.

Dad has been going through some health issues recently, including a cancer scare, and I cannot imagine not having him around. It reminds us what is truly important in this world. Sorry for your loss.

I am saddened for your loss, and my prayers are for you and yours.

It's never easy, even knowing that time is near (I lost my father to cancer in 2002), but your outlook on it is the best you can have.

Revel in the times you had together, and know that he's in a better place doing the things he loved with those that also love him.

My thoughts to you as a son, I've been there.. I still miss him to this day... But, sounds like your Dad's legacy lives on in you..... Your Dad's in a great place.... If the planes become too much to handle, try some of the military musems or the Smithsonian....

I understand a little of what you are going through. My Dad died this past October, very suddenly. I feel he is still around, and will probably feel that way for a very long time, if not always. Like others have said, revel in the good times you had, and remember that he will always be with you. My deepest condolances are with you and your family.
