My alternator works fine, however, thelong manly positive post must have shorted to the block at one time & now the post is now a stubby and shamed version of it's former glory. Anyone know who would sell a new post/capacitor?

what alternator are we talking about ? that piece doesn't look the stock one

1969 vintage, 60 amp, with single field.  Here's an NOS one that's on Fleabay. I just don't think it's worth $40.00....
