There was a guy on there who called himself a "parts locater" & ticked off a bunch of people selling stuff before he bought or had it. I don't know if it's the same guy, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

Before I bought my 68 there was a member here who tried selling me a 68 before he owned it, and for a $4k markup IIRC. Pissed me off royally. He hasn't posted here in four years.

I don't sell much on CL, but when I do I totally "prescreen" all my inquires. If I get the bad vibe...then I just say "Its already been sold". Screw them.
