unbelieveable, i have been stuggling with a pst aftermarket sway bar in front for a while in my 69 charger...i checked the bar with the original and it is beafier, but looks to be exactly the same size and bends.

THE PROBLEM IS, THE PICTURES AND INSTRUCTIONS AND hanger BRACKETS ARE THE WORST.  I MEAN, YOU SPEND 150 BUCKS OR SO ON A PART AND PST CAN'T AFFORD TO PUT IN SOME LEGITIMATE COLOR PICTURES OR AT LEAST OFFER THEM FOR SALE..OR GIVE YOU CLEAR STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS?????you should see the copy they give you..it looks like it has been copied 500 times and each time the last copy was used as the original..in other words, the resolution is positively awful..again, unreal..

HORRIBLE AND IF I HAD IT TO DO OVER, I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS..TOTAL CRAP.

THAT BEING SAID, HAS ANYONE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED THIS PART? CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME POINTERS, DIRECTIONS, PICTURES, ANYTHING TO KEEP AND GET MY PROJECT MOVING.

PLEASE HELP..AND WHILE WE ARE AT IT, LIKE A FOOL, I BOUGHT THE BACK SWAY BAR TOO.  PLEASE HELP WITH THAT ONE TOO.

THANKS,

Spend the cash on a firm feel bar

http://firmfeel.com/swaybars_b.htm

I bought an aftermarket bar for my 73, after having to modify the front hangers because they were too long it lasted a few months before the cheaply made pieces started to bend and finally one of the links just sheared right off...and i wasnt even driving it hard at the time, just riding down the block.

Just by the pics you can see how much nicer the firm feel bar is, even has grease fittings on the clamps!!!

yeah it bolts up to the factory holes in the Kframe  for the OEM bar , &  once bolted up  you need to drill one extra hole , using the supplied bracket as a guide   , might be two , i forget now  :scratchchin: :slap:
will take a  few pictures tonight  :2thumbs:   ,  found  one other in my file , bet need to resize it  , will post in a minute

i think your right ,  & if was to do it again would get the firm feel or hotchkiss set up , but had these Addco bars bought maybe 15 -18 years back  waiting for the day i would restore the the charger ,  & well before  internet!   saw  them advertised in the back of a mopar mag  from PST
put them on after i done the resto ,  then shortly after all these new type of swaybar set ups came out   :yesnod:

are these any good to you   :scratchchin:

first picture , the bar don't sit like that  normaly , its only beecause the rear end is up on jack stands !! the bar sits as the OEM bar does when all four wheels are on the deck

 :scratchchin:

last three pictures are rear bar set up

yeah i know copper fuel line ( only tempory) :-\   , its a long story but i bent a copper one up to see if the torque boxes / frame connectors  would get in the way  of the factory pattern ! then if so , i have a pattern to alter the OEM type should i need to  ! , got the correct one but not going on yet or it might not ever go on :scratchchin:
not sure where i'm going with  motor combo & carb or EFI set up at some point  :scratchchin:
the paint dabs on bolts are not correct factory markings  :icon_smile_tongue: just a way of me knowing  what i have torqued up , when i was puting the car back togeather !  found it easier than making a list , as when i was  getting ready for the  first time out , a  visual inspection  was  better to me  :yesnod:

(think i'm going to fit slightly longer rear swaybar  end  links at some point )) also not fully tightend  , was expereminting with something)
