im in the process in replacing my trunk floor. the frame if you wanna call it that is in real good shape. i figure ill clean it up nice and atleast paint it black. i was wondering if it would help stiffen up the car if i boxed in the frame since the entire top is open. any ideas?

Are you leaving the trunk floor out? If so, yes, box the rails. If not, don't bother, the trunk floor forms the fourth side.

I was thinking of welding the hole frame rail to the floor from under neath and just spotting it on top ?!
What the Hell-Dumass !

If you weld the seam where the frame joins the body panels, it does help some with rigidity. If you do weld the seams, I wouldn't worry about spot welds on top. If your going to be doing seam welding though, it nets you more benfits when used in the front subframe/cowl/k-frame areas than it does in the rear. These old mopars flex more in the front than they do in the rear.
