Apparently it's 100% certain that the rapture is May 21, next Saturday. Then the dead rise and it will be hell on earth for 5 months. On Oct 21 the world is consumed by fire.

I think there are going to be some depressed, gullable people on May 22nd, as they come to the realization that they did not make the grade on May 21st.

Sadly enough, there is an old guy and his wife at a Factory where I do contract work, they are retirement age+ and still working and years ago they were gullible enough to
A) Sell/gift their house for a song to their son
B) Sold their viable print based business for a low price
C) And then give all the money to this charismatic guy they had met through their offshoot of mainstream Church.

They then,  along with their fellow devotees had their special space suits ordered and prepared with helmets by the "Leader/Facillitator" and they all went down to Mt Egmont in Taranaki to wait for the spaceship to pick them up to take them to the "New Life".
The spaceship was following along in the dusttrails behind Haileys Comet apparently.
But as the group of about 15 ( or so ) waited and waited for the pickup in their suits up the mountain in the dark the slow realization of reality dawned on them. Apparently they turned on the L/F to question him further about the non pickup but his view on it was "because they we're not devout enough"

Apparently it ended up in court in due course but the Leader/Facilitator couldnt be charged with fraud or anything on account of all the people giving everything to him freely and him not promising anything substantial in return .

Hardly fair on them though with no recompense but it was their decison to sell it all.

So, no , I dont think  I'll need any extra hardware to repel any doorknockers on the 22nd

Yeah, I knew it was something like that...though at this point and with our dependence on electronics, that would probably end the world as we know it.
