My old house is about to sell and I'll have some money to play with... maybe. Im seriously considering a fuel injection system for my 440.

Pros
Cons
suggestions

Look at my car, it's not stock, so im not worried about that. I'll hide a lot of the wires.

pros - fuel economy, tuning, reliability
cons - cost, appearance (if that's your thing)

Opinions- don't know what you have going on with your car as is in all honesty...     my first decision would be an overdrive trans though - followed by EFI

I agree with Rolling Thunder , OD first.  I have thought about EFI several times, just can't seam to justify the $3000 price for Mopars.  The drivability would be great. Being on a road trip sitting for 3 days in a hotel waiting for Edelbrock or FAST to send me a one source only control module so my car would start would suck.

Rolling_Thunder

Well - I just think OD would be a better choice -  then again if you already have something like 3.23 gears it is rather pointless...     IF you are set on EFI then I actually like the Megasquirt stuff - but it requires the piecing together of a system - rather than say a bolt on kit like Edelbrock...

I have the Edelbrock EFI setup on my 440.
Pros:
-Easy to install
-Starts/Runs great
-Wide range of adjustment

Cons:
-Keep in mind I'm learning as I go here, but it took about 2 months worth of weekends to get it tuned haha.
-The Hi-flow electric fuel pump it came with gave out on me during tuning.
-It adds a lot of wires to the visible side of your engine. They're nicely bundled though.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to test for mpg yet. However, after continually having to mess with the carbs on my challengers, I certainly appreciate the peace of mind that the charger (which has the EFI) has knowing its going to start when I crank it. :Twocents:

The more I drive my modern cars with fuel injection the more I hate carburetors. If it weren't for the money I'd switch my carbed cars to FI. (I till might)
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Screw the EFI. Find a place to secure the 36 and get back to work!
