Modern 68-70 Dodge Charger

I am the owner of a 71 & 73 Dodge Charger and after talking with fellow Dodge Charger owners, the conclusion is that a modern Dodge charger should be a two door car. Also, a retro body style after 68-70  Chargers. In the early 1990s, Ford had a planned to redesign the Mustang as a front wheel drive car and the new design was going  to be the Ford Probe. After a huge letter writing campaign by Mustang lovers, Ford redesigned the Mustang and made it rear wheel drive. This design became the 1994 Ford Mustang. After serveral revisions over the years, we got the 2005 Mustang, which later was a refined into the 2010 - 2011 Ford Mustang. This was a throw back to the 67-70 Ford Mustangs. This was an effort from the public in what they wanted from Ford. If the Ford public can get the Mustang, why can the public who love the style of the 68-70 Dodge Charger get what they want in a modern interpretation of a classic body style? The retro Dodge Challenger is a wonder car by Dodge and the desingers nailed the styling cues without a doubt. As wonderful as the Dodge Challenger is as a car, many people out there in the buying public still desire a modern interpretation of the 68-70 Dodge Charger. The 2011 Dodge Charger gives us a glimpse of styling ques from the Dodge Chargers of the past, but the design does not represent what a Dodge Charger should be.
Does anyone or group within the Dodge Charger Form who feel the same like myself know how we can get our point across to Chrysler? Can a letter writing campaign be sent to the right people at the Chrysler Corporation to build a modern interpretation of a legend? Please respond to this topic and let try to make this vision into a reality? You have the Mustang, the Camaro, the Dodge Challenger, the Mini Cooper, the Jaguar XJ, the Volkswagon VW,etc. Where is the Dodge Charger? LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD!

When they put 4 or 5 seats in the Thunderbird ford killed that car. I'm afraid the same was done with the Charger but with the number of doors instead.

I had no idea that the 4 door Charger was an issue.

So, just to be clear, 4 doors, not good, right?

According to the first above post no; 4 doors are not good at all.

Apparently people dont like the whole 4 door thing. I wasnt aware of said fact. :shruggy:

Unlike Mustang fans, a large number of Mopar fans really don't seem to give a rat's ass about the heritage of the Charger and so rather than join forces with those who do care they just argued with them or totally ignored the issue and the company did whatever the hell it wanted to do. So after about four years of infighting and squabbling we've finally got a bunch of remorseful Chrysler execs trying to cobble 2nd gen. touches onto this four door POS with the "Charger" name. And the Ford and Chevy guys just point and laugh.

Anyway, you're about six years too late, jackass. Go away.

Just think of it as a two door car that is also equipped with two emergency exits for passengers in the rear.  Problem solved.
