Im thinking they were all a silver cad :Twocents:
1969 R4 Daytona XX29L9B410772
1970 EV2 Superbird RM23UOA174597
1970 FY1 Superbird RM23UOA166242
1970 EV2 Superbird RM23VOA179697
1968 426 Road Runner RM21J8A134509
1970 Coronet RT WS23UOA224126
1970 Daytona Clone XP29GOG178701

Kickdown linkages I believe to be natural steel with some kind of preservative or coating of some kind. Maybe some kind of residual oil coating left over from the stamping / forging process.  Same with the dist holdown. IMO they were not 'plated' so to speak

A dull silver cad plating might give a similar effect and offer some kind of protection from the elements

coil strap is clear zinc with 2 dark phosphate plated bolts

throttle cable retainer is also clear zinc with a phosphate hold down nut with a cative washer

PS- carb bolts had no washer btw and the upper hose is shaped like a 1968's 2806186

1969 should be 2863257 , IMO of course

Here's where the car is at now. Other than a couple of pinholes in the trunk floor & a bad section of factory pinch welds, the underneath is in great shape.
