I've been looking for some BFG 235/60/15's for my 73' Charger and have looked everywhere.  Apparently they are on National back order.  Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find a set, other than the Summit, Jegs, TireRack, NTB, or Discout.  I have also called several tire shops in the Houston area and nothing.  I am wanting to put them on the front end.  Not sure what 225's or 245's would look like or if the 245's may cause any clearance issues.  I wouldn't think so.  Any help would be appreciated.  Trying to get this thing back on the road.  Who new tires would be an issue.

Thanks,
Scott

Go with the 245's assuming you don't have big positive offset wheels. With the higher-cut fender well on the 73 even lowered you will have no problem at all. The size difference is not that much. 245/60 is about the same height as the original tire on this car with 15" wheels, just wider.

BFG are junk anway so look at alteranatives. Dean, Stinger, and Mickey Thomspn ST are all available in equivilent sizes and offer better performance.

:brickwall:  Just  put new BFG's on mine last fall.  How much better are the MT's?  Are they light truck tires?

Well, if the are on and feel round, then you've jumped the first hurdle. IMO, the tread design is old, they don't grip well, and they tend to get hard within a few years, but they look good, so don't beat yourself up too much... unless your racing your car, then you'll notice.

The MT ST are a regular car tire like Dean, Cooper, or Firestone and come with RWL on them. The MT SR are also car tires, but are sized like truck tires in inches instead of p-metric and only available in blackwall.

I heard that BF may have stopped making the 235/60/15 because they don't sell enough of that size.

Just ordered my BFG's. Had to go with Drag radials on the back cuz they quit making the 275/50/15 TA's.
If your wheels ain't spinn'n you ain't got no traction.
