Any computer guru's? Need help!

Okay, so I went on Youtube last week and it said I needed to update my Flash player and it gave me a link. So I went to the link and clicked and installed the update for Flash. Tried Youtube again and nothing, still said I need to update my Flash. Well I figure I'll restart the computer to see what happens....nothing, still says I need to update it. I've installed the update 3 times now and it says "Installation Completed Successfully" and I've restarted my computer 5 or so times since then but it still won't work. What's up?

This is a known issue, and one that I've seen on a couple of my work systems for a while now.  A similar problem is occuring with a Windows Update, as well.

Anyways, what browser are you running?? If IE, try Firefox and see if you are able to view it. If so, it might be an issue with your install of IE, in which case you can re-install easy enough.

Just for a quick test, give FireFox a shot. It's a small download and can be removed easily. You might even like it, it's a very secure and stable browser.

So I uploaded Firefox. Quick question, why won't it let me open Internet Explorer? Is there a way to set it so I can use both IE and Firefox?

Once you use FireFox there is really no need to ever use IE again. IE sucks pretty fierce... in a bad way.

I heard IE has improved and the local geek squad guy(best buy computer whiz) said he would now use IE over Firefox if that means anything.

I'm actually using IE on my dell mini10 right now cause I'm too lazy to download firefox.  I would tend to agree with forza but i'm just checking out IE to make sure it still sucks.

Cody to answer your question.  You should be able to use both at the same time.

Yes, you should be able to use both. I use Firefox all the time (mainly for the add-ons that I use for work) but IE 7 is actually pretty good. You will have to set one as your default but you should still be able to access both through the start menu or quick launch bar.

As for Flash, I never can get their in-browser utility to work right. I always end up downloading the executable and running it manually. It will update all of your browsers at the same time. I have the same problem with Quick Time but I'll do anything to avoid that hunk of trash any way so it's no big deal.

Well, my Flash is working awesome now with Firefox.
