Brake Booster question

I am in the process of changing the brake booster on my car.  I think the one I took off might be the original...just a hunch.  Should I keep the core just in case it might be the original  :shruggy:  The new one is a different shape than the one I am taking off.

i would keep the original on the shelf  :yesnod: 

is yours a power drums or discs car !! if discs  the bendix boosters are difficult to get a hold of now i believe  :scratchchin: :popcrn:

Hell, if it is any part for a disc brake car from 68-70, I'd keep it just to have a spare since the disc brake parts are so hard to come by.  I have at least a spare for every part of my brakes with the exception of the hard lines which I doubt will go bad.  If they do, repros are readily available.
