2nd Gen. Reverse lights

FYI to anyone needing to replace these.  I recently bought a pair of B/E & A's reverse lights and they came with female bullet connectors on the wiring pigtail.  The issue is, my new rear tail light harness from Year One also has female bullet connectors for the reverse lights.  I spoke with Bob at Herb's Parts where I ordered them from and he spoke with B/E & A who said they used to make them with male bullet ends but were getting a lot of returns so they switched them to female ends.  Apparently, Ma Mopar changed the wiring at some point during the production of Gen 2 Chargers from male to female and vice-versa on the rear light harness.  So if you buy these lamps and have female ends on your harness, you have to make a male-male bullet pigtail to get them to work.  The picture of the lights on their website still show the male ends.

It's weird that the rear harness from Year One comes with female connectors also.  I made my own male-male jumpers.

I installed a year one tailight harness last year and it hooked right up.

BananaDan

Do you recall if it had male or female connectors on the reverse lamp wires?

Hmm... Screw me I guess.  There's no way I'm returning it and reinstalling it at this point.  If my male/male jumpers fail I'll just clip the female ends on the harness and put male weather sealed bullets on it.
