I dont know much about carburators at all. Most of everything I have messed with has been EFI.

My car has a mostly stock 440 from a 1975 vehicle. Only things I know of that are not stock are a CH4B intake, (not sure what cam is in the car), MSD ignition and Long tube headers.

The car had a holley 650 DP on it which needs to be replaced. I was hoping someone could reccomend a good street carb for me. Im not looking to spend a lot and might look into a used or rebuilt carb also. If anyone has one for sale please let me know.

Thanks,

The Edelbrock Performer or AVS are great street carbs. I have used many and had great luck.   :2thumbs:

The Performer 750cfm or the 650cfm AVS Thunder series will work well. Personally, I would go with the 650... :Twocents:

Thanks for the help. Im thinking of getting this one. Does it look like a decent deal?

I have a Performer 750 I will sell, if you decide it will work for you.  It is pretty new, only used a few months last summer.  It was too big for my build.  It ran great on my dad's car, while testing out his motor for a couple of weeks.  Sounds like the 650 may be a better choice for stock though.

Thanks for the offer, but I agree that a 650 would be a better carb for my stock set-up.
