Anyone even know where to look for that chrome piece that goes between the taillights? 

it is not chrome between the lights,,,,,, it is very thin aluminum and if not mangelled you can fix it or have it fixed and polished and or painted or powder coat it.   it is very thin be very careful removing and on a padded surface gentley push out dents from the back side  ..... be careful

Yeah it's only hitting 295hp, at least thats what my dad's cousin said when he tested it at his auto shop business when I was having it looked over. Wish I had been there when he tested it though so I could see for myself. I still have no idea how that 318 is built up for what's inside until I tear it down.

Building a 350hp 318 would be pretty fun though.  

Besides the chevies around this town are all those 2nd gen camaros with small blocks anyways 

Now if I meet one of the two first gen camaros in town I'd get laugh out of town, Ive seen the hearts beating under those hoods....

I'll ask him when I go back. Ive never been into the shop though. I know they do all the government inspections and has quite a bit. He also build drag racers as well as a side business.
