Too loud? My dad only put performance mufflers on it. Good luck with the Charger, hope you two like it. :2thumbs:
When your Charger is sideways, just give it more gas!

Some people's sole purpose in life is to complain for the sake of complaining.

My neighbors are rich yuppies so all the drive is late model Camry's, Accords, Yotas, etc. I'm actually surprised most of them mow their yards themselves.

terrible one

I've been really surprised at how well my neighbors have responded to the car. I live in a duplex so I was most worried about the guy sharing the place with me, but he's gone a lot and while he's not really into it, he doesn't mind and was happy to hear that I got it going. The rest of the neighbors I either don't hear a peep out of or they have come to check it out at least once. The kids around here love it!

I've been lucky (I guess) NIKKI'S got a VERY healthy rumble. I've gotten lots of compliments from my nieghbors (within a house or 2. But I've been here longer than they have. Am generally friendly/helpfull w car questions and that kind of thing. As people know what I do for a living. And dont take any crap!  :nana:

before i moved my charger to the hanger i rent. my neighbors loved my car. they used to help push it in my garage when i would push it out to wash it. after i got it running they would throw me the thumbs up. glad i had great people around me. i have moved since then and my neighbors have never seen the charger. i live in the middle of the colorado rockies. and noone at the airport cares about the noise. but lots of people stop by to check her out. guess i am lucky. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

My neighbors didn't even know I had a Charger until I drove it home from my workshop licensed.
I'm sure they were thinking I traded my ex wife for it.
Most of them couldn't care less that I have it, except probably the woman next door who's bedroom is adjacent to my garage.
I only bring the car home from my shop if I'm heading out for a cruise or show early in the morning, so she's probably been pissed off with me a few times over the last couple of years... but who gives a?
Gotta love a '69

My neighbors have 4 screaming rugrats, 2 barking dogs and a Harley rider with the "wrist twitch syndrome". They damn sure better never complain about any noise I make.  :nana:

So what is the deal with motorcycle riders who do that? :shruggy: They act like the bike is going to die unless they keep wicking the throttle at stop lights. Can't they just leave it alone until it's time to go again?

It's purely a safety issue...  :yesnod:

My neighbors complained about not one but 2 things, one being my cars were too loud, and two being that I had too many of them....

They eventually got used to it....

It hasn't been a problem for me. Those loud firearms I own haven't been an issue either.  :scratchchin:

Well Lucky for me everyone around me had gotten use to my daily driver. my 318 v8 dodge dakota with dual exhaust lighting up to go to work at 5am every morning. so I think they have become immune to the weekend howls of the charger on occasion.   Actually all my neighbors are pretty cool about the whole car thing around my place.  :2thumbs:

A long time ago when I was living in the city,I started my 5.0 Mustang up to go to work(7:30). I forgot something in the house so I left the car on fast idle. I came out a minute later only to hear some lady yelling "shut that piece of shit off".......I kicked it down to idle, looked around.....again she repeated herself......now standing in the street looking to see who it was? no luck.....so I gave her something to bitch about. I side stepped the clutch and did a burnt out down the block. Never heard any yelling through the windows after that :D

Go to a Harley forum and ask the posers why they do it and half will tell you it's to let others know they're there for safety which is total B.S.  :smilielol:  and the other half will tell you they do it just because they want to and "if you don't like it shove it".  :nana:

Since my car isn't at home or finished I'm not sure what they are going to think when I leave for work at 6am on nice days. I had an 05 Magnum R/T with Borla exhaust that I know pissed a few people off at the end of our street. A lot of little Jettas,Civics etc blast up our street as it is the only cross street. The one little shyt always blows by in his fart can laden Jetta and he lives around the corner. I said to the wife when we were out for a walk the other night that he will definately be in for a blow by with 446 cubes when its done ;) Funny enough his old man has a big and loud Z71 and him and his cohorts drive the fart can cars.

 good job.... My 400C.I. Ford truck practically had straight pipes and I used to leave for work every morning at 5am.... I've also screeched tires on occasion in my area but nothing more then a chirp chirp.... I try to be respectful

One day when the kid down the road with a Chevelle was pissed off he really smoked up the joint when all my neighbors happened to be home, I got the blame for it from everyone....  :icon_smile_blackeye:
