So a friend of mine is an aspiring musician and he asked me recently if he could feature my car in one of his video's.  So I thought I would post it up to see what you guys thought about it.  :popcrn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFmV971Bh3s

Not into the song but your car is sweet....nice touch that the girl's clothes matched your car...

word of advice for your friend, TRI-POD

TRI-POD, got it  :2thumbs:  I'll be sure to pass that along.  Thanks!

Considering he is only 15 years old and did everything himself, I didn't think it was too bad.  His mother filmed it all with a Handy-cam  :coolgleamA:

And if you look real close, you can spot a DodgeCharger.Com decal in the back window

Nice for a 15 year old, The song was not terrible :Twocents: I wouldn't buy a CD to here it but probably wouldn't change the station if it were on the radio.  I think More charger less blond on the beach :2thumbs:

so are you in virginia? i noticed that was in the name of the song. if so what area?

not bad, has a bit of a stoner rock, kyuss/karma to burn/queens of the stone age etc type vibe going on with the music for sure. can't tell if the lyrics and some of the "visuals" are meant to be ironic/funny in some kind of hip, "embracing the bad", corny way (which is something that's really popular amongst the young hipsters).

Yes, nice car!!! I was wondering that too, did the kid do the burnout, or was you the 'stunt driver'?

good for him for following his dream.  keep on going.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Hey guys, thanks for the all the comments!

To answer some of your questions; yes, I live in Virginia.  All of the scenes in the video were shot locally.  The flags in the opening shot are at the local post office.  The beach scenes were here along the Potomac river.  The old farm you see in the middle of the shot is George Washingtons Birthplace.  The grape vines are at Ingleside Plantation. The Charger shots were done in front of his house on Saturday.  None of these locations are more than 10 minutes from where I live.  We have a lot of history here  :2thumbs:

Like you, I had a hard time placing the song.  I can't tell if its Country, Rock or some other mix of things.  I don't follow the younger crowds music much, but it does sound like something you might hear on the radio.  I just can't quite figure out which station you would hear it on.  On a side note, I had no idea what the song was about or how it sounded until he sent me a link to the finished video.

As for the driving, I do all my own stunts.  :icon_smile_big: Nobody drove the car except me.  The car was never running when they were in it.  We shot the final scene 4 different ways, 2 of which included burnouts.  :drive:  I wanted to do a third take because I knew I could do better, but I was afraid the cops might come around.  He lives in a very quiet neighborhood and I was making a LOT of noise  :D

And yes, we are planning another video that will feature a lot more of the car in it.  :icon_smile_tongue:

nice nice,  he did good.  Nice of his mom to help!   I remember back in the day, my mom had helped me out with some Martial Arts kung fu movies me and a friend used to make, and Kung Fu cooking shows, it was interesting....
i have been inspired to start making movies again. I used to be hugely into cinematography (pre-USMC).. I keep seeing these vids and it just makes me want to get a camera again.  I am plaining on a Frankenstein "..It's Alive" Hard rock Charger video once I get it, well.. road worthy and somewhat complete.  That will be my "unveiling" if it were.
