I lost my first 2 Charger's cause of my ex-wife. Both were rare cars too :brickwall:

Needless to say, it will never happen again. First thing I tell a chick now if she shows intrest in me is that I will never get rid of any cars or give up my hobby for her or anyone else.

I'm single so I could care less what girls think about my car

How shocking. :o Who would have thought Silver was single? :o ::)

But I have to ask, if you could care less what girls think about your car, why don't you?

She thinks what most women think. They're cool and great when nothing needs to be done to them, but if you need money to fix them then they are not great or cool. :yesnod:

My wife is actually pretty good about the cars, but she is only into driving around in them. She isn't into going to a lot of car shows and cruise nights and looking at other cars too much. She goes once in a while, but it's not something she plans time for.

I hit a home run.....

My wife actually encouraged me to spend some money and ship my car off to Bill to finish.   -Good lookin' and SMART!

On top of that, she insists the boat goes in every summer.   - she says, "there's only so many boating seasons in a lifetime"

Now that's "1 in a trillion".

My wife is great about my Chargers, doesn't really care what is done to them, and I work extra to support my bad habit. She does admit that she love riding around in them, which helps me when I try and talk her into some new parts or changes to make tem run better....

I bought my Charger as a project when I was still married. It was a mutual decision so I think if I was still with her she'd be ok with what ever I wanted or needed to do with the car.

My FWB girl used to say that it's only a car and that she really had no interest what I did with it and what I spent on it. Fair call I thought, since she's never been a "car girl". (Not that it's really any of her business since we aint married or even engaged right?)

Something must have changed over the last couple years though because now, if I even mention the idea of selling the car, she really makes sure I know that she wouldn't approve.
Must be all the attention we get at shows or on cruises. There aren't too many of these cars where I am so it really stands out in a crowd.
Gotta love a '69

Just don't split up with her now though with that much interest in it... My old neighbor lost his 2 hot rods, half his business and a house over his ex-wife.... Needless to say he is still bitter about women. Although he is married now his 2nd wife doesn't care one bit about cars, she tolerates it but that's all

Nah it's all good. We don't (won't) even live together and she knows I already got screwed by my wife over this car, so I think I'll be just fine  :2thumbs:

I just bought two new guitars as well.
That's the beauty of not committing (yet?) I don't have to justify ANYTHING and if she doesn't like it, she knows it isn't even her place to open her mouth.

When I bought my Charger my wife wanted a Camaro to offset the cost  :rotz:  She's not happy about me spending the money to do the dash but I told her I'm not going to do it twice. I'm not pulling the dash half apart just to do it again in a year or two... So too bad  ....

She enjoys cars and has a few nice ones of her own.... Can't wait to finish my car... errrrr... well..... at least be able to drive it

I only know one friend that his wife let him keep his toys and the only reason was he has lots of money and she gets anything she wants. I am pretty sure if I was married I wouldn't have all the toys I have so single it is :icon_smile_big:

My wife is very, very supportive!!! She loves working on the car with me.  Has helped me every step of the way.  Taking the motor, drivetrain, wiring, sanding, glass, bumpers, grill, taillights, off!

My wife has helped me with 2 headliner's and the upholstery on one Charger. I think if a couple can get through that without killing each other they probably can get past anything.

My wife bought her Charger in 1985 and it was her first car.  I have been forced by her to keep it running since we got married in 1992!

That is awesome!   Wife and I just hit 6 years on Friday (the 6th)..  She loves the charger, but for some reason still has this fondness for a 1st gen mustang.  Or as she tells me, a True Shelby (any year!).

"You are not using that car as a daily driver. Why would you waste gas like that?"

My wife really surprised me when I suggested getting an old American car for us ( well me really ). Since it was going to be finansed through shared funds I thought it would be a nightmare getting her along with the idea.. It took right about 15 minutes, and me showing her some pics on the internet, and she was all for it.. My jaw hit the floor, and the whole speech I had planned along with the diagrams on how this would be awesome was not needed..
We wasn't married then and that was one of the moments that convinced me to marry her..
Then I found our Charger, got it shipped to Denmark and went for my first ride in it.. It blew the engine, and I was sure she would be pissed.. All she said was "It has to be fixed, 'cause I haven't driven it yet. It'll just have to take the time it takes"..

Gotta love that...  :2thumbs:

My wife is pretty good about it, she knows that I'm really into cars. She goes to some shows with me, she said she could take them or leave them. She really likes the Car Craft Summer Nationals. I'm a happy man.
