I'm looking to buy some of those spring loaded bleeder valves.  I was wondering if there is a standard size.  I have a 69' Charger with 14" tires if that helps.  They are also all Drum Brakes.  I don't want to take any off and measure them if I don't have too.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

When I went looking for them I couldn't find any near small enough. The wheel cylinder bleeders are tiny. Maybe you could find something online but I gave up. :shruggy:

Here is a place I was looking at.   http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/category/Goodridge_Speed_Bleeders/1.  I'll try to make it to the local parts store today where I bought a wheel cylinder and see if I can measure the bleeder so I can get the right size.

The factory drum brake size for the 60's-'70's is 1/4"-28 but some aftermarket cylinders will be 5/16"-24. Disc calipers are usually 5/16"-24 but some of the later ones used in conversions are metric.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

1/4"-28 ones are hard to find. Russell makes them, but they are pricey.

5/16" can generally be found in the HELP!  section of your local discount parts store (Doorman brand). Cheap.

Edit: Found a Doorman number for the 1/4"-28x1" : 12703

Thanks guys for the reply.  On the website I mentioned above has a 1/4 x 28 for $7.  Seems like a good price.  Probably will give them a try
