NHCHarger and I went to see his buddy, Gary. Snapped a few pics in his yard.

Had to have a half dozen b-body ragtops rotting away.

Here's a few pics....

NHCharger says they've been sitting there for years. It was getting dark so I didn't get picks of the more than half dozen rotting ragtops. Darts, roadrunners, satellites. SAD. I think the Superbee was one of them.

The guy did say that they were going to pull a handful of them out in the next couple of weeks.

Parts everywhere. He did have a TONS of parts and a few cars tucked away in the barns but the rest had been sitting out there for too long.

This is just the yard at his house. NH has been to his yard, I haven't.

good pictures though. what are the plans for the cars though? leave them sitting? sell a few? just curious, dude has quite a few nice cars and it's a shame for them to just sit and rot if they're not going to be saved.

I was hoping to make it out with you guys but it wasn't in the cards with the holiday and other stuff. Looks like I missed a good yard trip.

Thanks for posting the pics.

We didn't get out there until yesterday.

He said they were pulling some of the cars out in the next week or two. Didn't mention what he was going to do with them.

I went to look at buying this Charger as a parts car. There's not a lot I can use but it has a 8 3/4 and the grill was in good shape. There's some misc. stuff I could use off the car. It's so rotted underneath I can't tell where the frame and rot ends and the underbrush begins. I asked Gary want he needed to get for the car and the only answer was "it's a 68 Charger, not cheap my friend". This is why he has so many cars rotting away. He will look at a car and know exactly what every possible usable part is worth and that's what he wants for the car.

Another 10 years of wasting away in his yard and will be. What a maroon, but what can you do?

I've been trying to pry a 57 New Yorker Hemi Hardtop and a 57 Dodge Coronet Hemi Hardtop away from a co-workers family for 15 years. Just sitting outside in a wet environment rotting away next to a 2 car garage full of old clothes and garbage. 15 years ago one was diminished to just parts, the other salvageable. Now, just junk. I want to choke them. Slowly.

I doubt it bronze.

Sounds like your buddy is afraid of someone else making a buck off the cars. Still I sorta understand what he is talking about for what the cars are worth but he needs to understand.

1) The parts need taken off
2) The parts need to be in decent shape
3) Not everyone needs all the parts a car may have on it & they don't want to strip it out to get the money back out.

His choice of course but the longer they sit the less the parts are going to be worth, age & all the repo stuff will drive values down. Selling the complete cars will get him more money overall I would think than selling pieces.

Difficult to not be a jerk about it but the reality is he is 15 years late on selling off his cars.
