trying to mount exhaust system, need some help.

My car has long tube headers that go into straight pipes and turn downs that dump right past the mufflers before the rear axle.

When I pulled the car apart the previous owner had hook mounts that bolted to the backside of the rear seat belt bolts and held the muffler up by hooking into the U bolt on the exit side of the muffler.

I am planning to scrap the turn downs and go with traditional tail pipes.

The new seat belt bolts I used are not long enough to remount the exhaust the same way. Im not sure if that was correct in the first place.

I was courious if anyone has any pictures, diagrams or info on where and how they have there exhaust mounted.
