Wow, love the classic seat.  I love old bikes.  At one time I had 33 mini bikes.  I was a Mr mom and real bored so that was my outlet.  :icon_smile_big:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

It needs a shot of NOS!     Cool old scooter!

Love it! I tinker with old mopeds and at one time had over 10, mostly puchs. Check attatched pic. I can tell you that Puch is considered one of the best makes among moped people. They're simple as hell, reliable, and have tons of aftermarket parts availible. They came with both 1 and 2 speed engines, I'm thinkin yours probably has a 1 speed (e50). Is there any rust in the tank? thats a common problem with these bikes. Should be pretty easy to get running considering how clean it is. Should top out at about 30 mph stock but with some upgrades and tuning you could get 45 or more out of it.

Thanks Guys!

f8,

Tinker? You have a whole fleet!

I just got it running/driving today, the orig carb was pretty bad (gasket wise) so i just decided to go out and buy a new one, luckily theres a nice moped place here in BK...amazed when i got a carb brand new for 80$! Big difference compared to the 600$ proform thats on the 440 LOL!

I unrestricted the exhaust for now, and im going to get a less restrictive intake tomorrow, and change the tires/tubes. Getting registered tomorrow.

Took it for a quick spin though, sure does go..pinned the 30mph mark but im sure with a bit of work it has more in her.

AWESOME!!!!! My first bike was a Honda Express at a very young age and I did in fact deliver papers with it....on base, under age.  Two things I never could understand.  Why my dad let me do that and why I never got in trouble by base security.
Anyways....nice score Frank! That will make you some nice pocket change when you do decide to flip it.
I believe the foreign market will pay big dollars for one.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Moped parts are usually pretty cheap so check around before you buy. Honestly for $80 you could have bought a
hi-po aftermarket carb brand new. The stock carbs (which are 12mm bings) usually go for around $20-$40. Check out http://www.mopedarmy.com/ for any questions, it's a really good resource for these old mopeds. Good luck on your project!

FLG

Its the 15mm bing, they go for the same price at treats and 1977 mopeds so I figured id be good, plus no shipping charges.

Thanks, ill sign up  :2thumbs:

Oh yea I thought you paid $80 for a stocker... that for a 15 bing is fair. Actually I've got that same carb I'm planning on running with a 70cc kit on one of my projects.

Frank, you gotta paint some flames on that bad boy!
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

A383Wing

needs a little tow-a-long trailer to go with it as well

I have never seen a Moped in the USA and I've been there 5 times over the years.
Come to think of it, I have never seen a Bike smaller than say 500-650 CC
(excluding things like Dirt Bikes) Frank, I think you got a good deal!  :2thumbs:
