Well, I promised I would eventually get something comprehensive done for you and here is one segment of that...

At long last the slideshow is complete...I can add music, but invariably it never suits everyone so you can just stream the track of your choice in the background, lol.

If you spot your Charger and want to share more info just let me know...I will gladly do a full feature on the Lone Star Mopars News page.

If you haven't seen the thread with other MATS stuff here it is:
http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,79828.0.html

I wanted to make sure to get this posted in the Charger Discussion thread so as many as possible could see it.  Many thanks to those of you who came out.  I had worried not many old school cars would be out and I'd have to take solstice in the late model Challengers...that was actually a polar opposite of how it played out and honestly I could not be happier about it  :2thumbs:  I believe Dans68 is featured 2nd or 3rd and v21HEMICharger is one of the first 69s to roll on screen.

Hope you enjoy it...I made sure to plug the site so casual viewers that somehow don't know about it might sign up  :yesnod:

I didn't get to spend near the time I wanted to with the showfield on Saturday...we walked the entire pit area checking out the cars, while we were heading back the rain started to fall...I think all I got of the GL was a video...after that I took a few pics of the Daytona and then we drove thru the rush of cars leaving to shoot the "Drive Thru vid."

I'm going to work towards getting the 3rd Gen stuff compiled after getting the Roadtrip pieced together.  I might be able to just post the pics as there were not near as many...there were several in the pits some might have missed.

The turnout of 68-70 Chargers really made the trip for me.  Again, wish I could have tracked down some more of the owners, but it was a great time.

Hey Dan, Thanks for posting the pics of my GL and all the other pics. Thats a cool shot looking down the fender!  :drool5:
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend
"That's us in 10 years".
He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

Dans 68

You are welcome.  :2thumbs:  After all, that captivatingly curvaceous fender shot is one of the reasons we love these cars. That and the posterior (especially on a '68 IMO  :icon_smile_wink: )

Of course I got pics of the sunroof  :icon_smile_big:  It was another one of those cars that folks would walk by and head for somethign shiny or with a blower sticking out the hood.  The mudflaps caught my eye first, and then the sunroof...only 2nd gen there sporting that option:

Thanks for the pics. Great cars! The 69 SRT lives close to me, it's a long trip from the middle of Canada to Vegas. It's an awesome car, love the new door handles and how they blend in.

I'm sure I'm not the only diehard who did it, but people were looking at me strange as I continued to hover overhead the Charger, lol.

The SRT was slick no doubt.  It is the little things like the molded handles that a lot of people don't even catch if you are just strolling by trying to take it all in...The interior door panels were very well done too...a very nice mix of new and old.  Pretty nice guy too...I was surprised how many Canadians made it down...the really nice 71 HEMI GTX was out of Montana.

We were one of the few Texas cars I spotted, saw one Okie.  Lots of AZ and NM guys.
