Hey gang,

I saw a post on cruise control and thought I'd ask a similar question about power windows.  I saw someone quoted as saying they saw a '93 report by GG and stated a number associated with cars that came with cruise.  Any info on '69s with power windows?  My '69 RT/SE has them, and I'm just curious as to how many Chargers were equipped with the option in '69.  Thanks for any info.  :2thumbs:

Cheers

Dave, I have production #'s listed in the '69 Registry Site....if you scroll down to the bottom, 1521 with power windows.

**disclaimer**  I do not claim accuracy to any of those #'s as I cannot verify the source....

Been talked about before on 69 R/T SE's options.I do remember there being a GG "by the numbers" column in a mopar mag, speaking of 69 R/T SE specifically.Had the total production of cars, then columnized per option and how many came with each option.I'm pretty confident I saw the number for PW cars in the 700 range. Some others here also responded as seeing this very article I speak of.The two that stuck out in my head were PW,and PDB.Think the PDB were also in the 700 range as well.
Being 700 ish,is rather alot considering there were just over 4,000 R/T SE's made,so with that,that means roughly 20%.

Chris, were'nt rocker moldings a fairly rare option as well????

Chris, I saw those but didn't know how accurate they were so I wanted to see if anyone else had some other numbers.  TEA hit it with the info I wanted to see, and I'd be interested in seeing that article.  Any idea what year that article would have come out? :scratchchin:

I would classify the M25 wide sill moldings as "uncommon" as opposed to rare.  Got 250 of those registered.

Y91---Show Car Finish---(1) registered
J45--hood pins---( 8 ) registered
A35---Trailer Tow package---(12) registered
V8R---Red Bumble bee stripe---(17) registered

M51(not on tag)---sunroof---(31) registered
R13--5.5 watt AM Radio---(39) registered
M91---luggage rack---(41) registered
A34 ---Super Track pack 4.10's w/4-speed---(43) registered
A32---Super Perf package---4.10's with Auto trans---(44) registered

With all the people here I know that have power windows,I'm suprised that you only have 134 registered.

"Rare" can also describe stuff the public did'nt want on their car as well,as the majority did'nt pick when they were checking off options for their new car.Hence some low numbers on some of those rare options.
Just me,but if I were ordering a new 69 Charger with enough funds to have any option I wanted, and no offense to those who have it,I def would not want a sunroof or a luggage rack.In fact, when I bought my R/T SE back in Jan 08,it had a luggage rack on it,and boy was I hoping it was not on the fender tag.It was'nt,was added at some point,so off it came.
Hood pins are def cool, pass mirror,as well as cruise control.Would have picked those three items!!!!!

Those figures arent entirely accurate....I probably would have some more of each registered (except for the V21 & Sunroof cars) if I had tag info on all of the 2300 cars I have registered.  The #'s posted above are cars that I have full fendertag info on
