How come we never see Engineering....we see tons of the flight deck yet I've never seen the engine room. Who runs it?


For an advanced civilization that had 105+ battlestars.....isn't it odd that they don't have any video/TV/Movies on the ship? And what's the deal with the 50's microphones and radios?


How come Raptor pilots wear full space suits yet their passengers don't?


What's the deal with every piece of paper and book and report and picture having the four corners cut off......pretty impractical.


Are there no fracking windows on the Gallactica? The bridge is blind without Dradis which is down half the time it's needed most.


In the battle for freedom on New Caprica the Vipers were armed with missiles......yet in every other battle encounter they don't have them. Don't you think they'd come in handy when you are constantly outgunned 4 base ships to 1?


Assuming there are 3 shifts...yet we never see a formal shift change.


Ok....they obviously have artificial gravity figured out, however in the last episode the entire fleet lost power....but good ol' gravity still works.


What hapenned to the Pegaus deck chief (the aeronautical engineer)? Seems like having him would be a good thing and yet he disappeared.


Speaking of missing people.....where is Bulldog? (cryptor cryptor)....you'd think they could use a veteran pilot. And when the Pegasus went on her suicide mission she left all her pilots and Vipers behind......where the heck are they all? You'd think the Gallactica would be overcrowded with planes and pilots now.


We see how the Colonial fleet moves.......where are the engines/propulsion in the base ships?


Where did the trucks and hummers on New Caprica come from? Were these in storage on the Gallactica? And just how did they get to the planet....not on a Raptor. And where did all those tents come from?


What hapenned to Boxey? He was there in the mini-series.


They sure like to eat noodles!!


Why are all the ships (both sides) operating on the same horizontal plane? Is there a universal "this side up" law?

if we Assume that all the ships run on fuel, the question is does Galactica? Or is it nuclear? <would make more sence> If it runs on fuel, god help that ship if it gets hit back there, Nuclear would be the way to go. So I would say maybe 2 nuclear reactors. All can be monitored else ware. Unlike "Enterprise" that has a somewhat smaller propulsion device, Galactica would be huge and as stated, I assume it would be monitored by rooms, Not a lot of moving parts in a reactor. And I have no idea whos in charge.

I believe they explained this in the first show. Galactica was designed with no networked computers and built to not rely on anything that the Cylons <Machines> could hack into. Besides, Galactica being the oldest ship in the fleet <one of the oldest?> I would say that it's built like that for a reason.

There are, I believe in season 2 they even had some blow out and suck someone out into space in a battle. I believe that windows on the Bridge CIC would not be a good idea. Too week a spot and it would suck to have all of command sucked into space

I agree, but maybe they are in limited supply and only use them when absolutely necessary. The Vipers were armed to the teeth to get everyone back. Also. In the vacuum of space, even a small hole from a projectile could implode a ship.

ummm, hmmmm, maybe the gravity system is setup on batteries like the emergency lights are. I guess repairs would be hard to do while floating.

I think in that show Bulldog went to another ship to get his wits about him, I'm sure he'll be back. A few shows after Pegasus went down in a ball of glory, Galactica was crowded. I'm sure most have moved to other ships now. Some Vipers are stored, and I'm sure others may be on other ships. As we saw in the mini series, Colonial 1 had a large enough bay for quite a few vipers.

I'll have to take a closer look. I would say some kind of propulsion is in the middle, however the ships so spin, maybe some time of engine on the end of some of those spines?

I would suggest larger shuttlecraft, even today's military have large planes to fly tanks and such. I would state a guess Galactica has them also, we just haven't seen them yet. Also. I would say that ground craft are somewhere in the belly of the ship were they store these larger carriers. And a tent in a tent, even today's military carries them around.

I think there is a "Galactic" up, Everything spins around the center of the galaxy, much like most of our planets. Yes some are a few degree off axis. Like Uranus is on it's side, but for the most part the Galaxy does have an up and down.

I don't know the context of the remark or if it's at all true or how it's even possible that the Starbuck character is actually finished but I thought I'd pass that along as an FYI.

It might have something to do with how the producers went about 'killing' Starbuck off.

Thanks for the link. Yea, it seems as if she was in shock about being 'killed off' and possibly made some premature comments about it. I can't imagine her being gone just yet. I also found it interesting that Moore is considering ending it all at the end of season 4. But, like he said, that would be better than going out on someone else's terms.

He "leaving" was all a lie, she Ron Moore had it all planned out from the beginning.  He manipulated the fans to get them to watch.  Which worked out great.  I can't wait for 2008.

I love Pegasus, can't wait for the movie about her to come out.

Tricia Helfer, the sexy Number Six on the new, darkly depressing "Battlestar Galactica" show, and Rachel Nichols, formerly of "Alias" and "The I Inside", are joining David Eick's sci-fi TV series "Them" for the FOX Network. The show is about a sleeper cell of extraterrestrial (i.e. aliens) terrorists who come to live among us for, one presumes, nefarious purposes. No word on rather Helfer and Nichols will be playing members of the cell, or if they will be human babes who, once the bad aliens lay eyes on them, changes their ways. David Eick is a pretty busy man, working on both "BSG", "Them", the new "Bionic Woman", the BSG spin-off "Caprica", two series for the FX channel "Guilty Pleasures" and "The Wanting", and according to TVGuide.com, something for the Lifetime Channel.

Ok... here is what I've heard.

The Movie will be out on DVD this fall, it will pertain to part of season 4, but will also tell of the Pegasus.  They said there is something about the two that they are going to bring up, that hasn't been brought up before.  I think it will be something about the melding of the two crews and the past problems on Pegasus coming over to Galactica.

The movie will then premiere in the late fall, winter time.

I can't wait for the movie, but waiting til 08 for the return of Galactica is INSANE.
