My guess is that it will leave the Galactica at an inopportune time.

What I mean is something will happen that needs both Battlestars. The new commander of the Pegasus will leave the galactica high and dry. Mark my words. It would be best to leave that ship intact for a return visit. At least. That's how I would write it.

Yeah, Col. Fisk (now Cmd. Fisk) seems like a pretty strung out guy.

Even if it was the Adm. that ordered the ships following Pegasus stripped and left adrift (not to mention the killing of the families Fisk talked about with Col. Tigh), Fisk went along with it (along with the crew - well the ones still alive).

He's definitely a wild card.

Plus there is still animosity simmering between both crews over the death of the Pegasus' Cylon interrogator at the hands of Helo and Tirol.

Especially now that they've both been released back to the Galactica.

What about when the Pres. dies?

There's a good chance there will be chaos in the fleet, as we've already seen what type of man Zarek is.

I know Laura is grooming Billy for President, but what if Billy is a Cylon?  :icon_smile_question:

It's funny that you mentioned Billy being a sleeper. That popped into my head on more then one occasion. It's very possible. I hope that the President doesn't die soon, but she's not looking too good.

Fisk is defiantly one that people need to watch, he's just not right. He is a follower, not a leader. This is going to get real good :D

My buddies told me about the show when it started up and I was appalled that they had done so many changes...bad ones. I don't care how you look at it, Starbuck and Boomer being women is just wrong!!!!!! Colonel Tye was black and Adama was the wise older commander....those changes I might have been able to handle but not Starbuck......man he was my hero back then and they had to go and ruin a perfectly good memory by giving him a sex change. I have not watched it since I saw the first episode and will not watch them, regardless of how well scripted, acted or directed they may be. The changes they made in this new BSG remind me of the changes that were made with the new Charger that was reintroduced...........just plain wrong. I hope ya'll enjoy the show, as for me I won't be watching it.

I don't think they will kill Laura off yet. For some reason, I think they will find some kind of cure for her cancer. May be a temp thing or ???

Then if being gay is wrong, THEN I DON"T WANT TO BE RIGHT!!!!! ;D  Seriously, Battlestar Galactica has turned out to be one the best TV shows I have ever had the pleasure of viewing.  EVERY single person that I have told about the show has ended up LOVING it!!!  Even people who don't like sci-fi.

I don't believe that Pres. Laura will be killed off too soon.  If that happens, then Dr. Baltar will become the Pres, and I just don't see how that would work....

Sci-fi Friday gets me through the week.  BSG is a great show and I'm glad it is back on.  On the TiVO website, they post spoilers about the upcoming epsiodes, but I don't read them.  My wife calls BSG her  nap time, but htis season she was up for it.  This is how you know a show is great.
I wonder what is going to happen with the Cylon reporter in last years epsiode.  If you recall they revealed the reporter doing the story on the crew of Galactica was a Cylon at the very end but that was it.  Perhaps she will be brought back into the mix when the Pres. dies or the 2 ships unite?

That's right. I totally forgot about her! Well, since you bring that up, remember Col. Tigh's wife is too. Remember, she was supposedly seen dead after the attack on Caprica.

I don't remember COl. Tigh's wife been seen dead, I know she was reported missing and then she show's up on some civilian ship.  I immediately thought cylon but then what if they want you to think that but she's not.  Just like the epsiode where everyone started thinking each other was a cylon.  TIgh's wife certainly acts like she has a Cylon agenda with the crappy advice she gives her husband, but then again she may have always been like that.
It would be a jaw dropper if Apollo was a Cylon.

Johnny SixPack

What about when Leoben told Pres. Rosalyn that Adam is a Cylon?

Remember, no one knew exactly where he was when he went to pick up Tigh's wife.

Apollo being a Cylon would definitely be one hell of a twist, but his inability to deal with certain issues seems to mirror the 'original' Sharon's mental state at times.

Or I remember reading somewhere about someone who though that Baltar was a Cylon, and that he actually died in the attack, and awoke as a Cylon near the field where Sharon and Helo landed.

It might explain the intense Cylon interest in him, and also why #6 can be seen by him, if not out right control him (well, up until he turns his interest to the recent discovery of another #6 that was being held prisoner on the Pegasus, where he 'falls' for, and then releases the 'living' #6).

I believe you are right, that she was missing. BUT, remember, they had that one prisoner (I don't remember if it was a cylon or not), but Tigh's wife seemed to be behind the death of the prisoner. That was right around when they introduced Zareck? (Richard Hatch)

It was very intense. So much so I was shaking at the end :yesnod:

at the end when "...to be continued" poped up i beat the shit out of my chair!

I was like NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! This show kicks major ass. I love it.

A cliffhanger ending eh? Did Irwin Allen come back to life & produce it? Honestly, I've never watched the new series, old series was OK, I've always loved sci-fi, but really BG always struck me as the smooshing of the two sci-fi grandparents,  namely Star Trek & Lost in Space. Seemingly doomed castaways, but with a military angle. Not that that makes it bad, just always prefered Trek & Irwin Allen stuff better....Young'uns are no doubt wondering what I'm talking about right now...

TruckDriver

I was a huge Star Trek fan, but a Battlestar Galactica fan even more. Irwin Allen if I remember right has been dead for a few years now. It takes a while to get used to the character changes. But once I did, and started seeing it as a totally different show. I actually like it better then the old Battlestar cause the plot isn't as cheesy. Although, I still love the original series as well. :yesnod:

Now I'm just waiting for someone to remake the series Space 1999. I actually like that cheesy show too. Although now, I think they would have to call it Space 2999 or something.

I watch it too although I did miss the season opener this year   :rotz:

Don't forget that admiral Cain made Starbuck the captain of the Pegasus. I think the exec officer is gonna be working on getting rid of her for a while before he tries to take over the ship and take off.

It's a shame because just once I would like to see a TV series that stays with a major change like having another Battlestar to kick some major Cylon butt. I know they can't because there are too many actors to pay and most TV shows can't afford to have so many characters

It appears that the baby that Starbuck is carrying will hold the key to saving the president with some special DNA or something.  I guess it will be an episode about stem cells but I don't really know. If you look up Mary McDonnell on Yahoo movies you find out that she doesn't have any new projects coming up right now so I don't think they will be killing off the president anytime soon.

That dying scene with Apollo was just awesome. I couldn't believe how cool that was with the battle raging all around him with him just floating there in and out of conciseness. (I watched it four times)
The battle scenes on that show are always too short but the way the Vipers were tearing up the Base ships and the Battlestars were launching volleys and taking hits you had to feel a little sorry for the Cylons who from beginning to end just never had a chance. (only a little sorry)

Maybe I think about this show too much......

Actually she promoted Starbuck to Captain and made her the new CAG (Captain or Commander of the Air Group).  She is now in charge of all the pilots.  She is NOT the captain of the whole ship.   ;D

Actually it looks like the cure will come from Sharon's baby, and Baltar may assume the presidency on a temporary basis.

The upcoming episodes are definitely going to be a wild ride.

Can't wait for the 2 part season finale in March. :2thumbs:

Why rush the season?  I always hated when the season was over, but at least it turns to nice weather so out with the Charger!

My favorite "cartoon" sci-fi has always been Robotech.  Of course Lost in Space and Star Trek were always must see.  If you consider Twlilght Zone sci-fi (which I don't) that is at the top of my list.  They had some really good plots and character acting, nothing like what is on TV today.  I'm trying to score a TZ pinball machine but no luck so far.

SirNik73

I never had my blood pressure go up so much over a TV show as I did during the last episode. I watched it with my roomate. she always watches crap TV like "Americans Next Top Model" but I had the last 3 episodes recorded. and we watched them strait through, and toward the end of the last episode she was yelling at the TV "Someone better kill that bitch" (talking about Adm. Kain) I think shes hooked.

For all you BSG geeks out there. the special effects for BSG are done by the same special effects studio as the effects for FireFly. If you look in the min-series you can see Serenity in the fleet.

I have never seen that shot of the Enterprise in the fleet before. that frak'n awesome.
