I think Boltar is going to get this soon :nutkick: This is going to get frakin' good :D

Starbuck got what she needed I think. I also think Col. Tie will come around to his senses sooner then later.

I think that Starbuck will come around in the next show or 2. I think the col is going to stay messed up.

All in all, great story tonight. I think that these "tie up the loose end" storys are a much needed break, it was getting a bit tought there for a bit.

BSG maintains itself as the best show ever!

I just wish Fraken Starbuck didn't cut off her long hair :bawling: She was so HOT that way. :yesnod:

And just what are Starbuck, Tigh and the Resistance fighters supposed to be "coming around" from?  You guys make it seem like they're just trying to get over a bad hair day, or something.  Keep in mind that they were forced to live under military rule and totalitarian law, with the constant threat of executions and general misery around every corner.  Common citzens had to resort to suicide bombing just to protest the way of life forced upon them.  Starbuck was held captive, psychologically tortured and forced to live with some maniac who was obsessed with her.  Tigh was detained, beaten, had an eye plucked from his skull, realized that his own wife had to frak a Cylon to get him free; then, he had to kill the only woman/person that ever cared for who he truly was.

I'm all about climbing back on the horse after you fall off and all of that other cliched b.s., but cut the Resistance guys some slack-they went through a lot.  Honestly, if any of you had to endure what they did, do you think you would "come around?"

bull

:iagree: They've been through a lot but it doesn't excuse the insubordination. I think at some point Col. Tye is going to have to be cornered by Adama into getting over the alcoholism, and I think it's going to be a nasty event where Tye is probably locked up and dried out the hard way. If he doesn't pull it together (to use his words to the Chief regarding Kelly) he will be one of the next to get killed. Someone will get fed up and end his life if he keeps mouthing off.

Starbuck will be back in the saddle but she's endured too much to be able to keep it all stuffed. She's going to have an episode before too long I think.

bull

Didn't anyone else see last Friday's show?

I had a hunch that beacon came from Earth. :yesnod:

TruckDriver

I was waiting for one of you guys to say something first. I actually thought it was a awsome episode. I figured the beacon was from earth first time they showed it.

Great episode. Not sure the beacon came from earth as apposed to being left on the way to earth. Hopefully that story line gets answered eventually.

All I have to say is that if they ever do find earth don't ride space motorcycles to the planet and attend a halloween party with Wolf Man Jack.  :nono:

LOL yeah good old BSG1980...

My friends and i were talking and have a theory. remember in the old BSG the opening talked about how the people of Kobal made the civilizations of the Incas, Aztecs, Egyptipns, Exc. well our working theory for this BSG is that when they find earth it will be thousends of years ago our time. the people in the BGS fleet fight one last battle with the cylons. it destroys their ships and theya re forced to land on earth. over a few hundred yeas of breeding between the cylon and human survivors there is no more cylons or humans as we know them they are all just people. one group of people who belive in many gods, one group believs in one god. so you end up with pegans, Incas, Aztecs, Egyptipns, Exc. (believers in many gods) and Jews (the fist people to believe in monotheism). maybe this is why anti-semitism plays the role it does in history.

If they travelled to earth in space craft, why would they be thousands of years behind us current time? Shouldn't earth be advanced?

Well, I guess it depends on how many times and how they jump and if/how that effects the space/time continuum. Many other things are going to play a factor too, mainly what the producers and writers feel like doing. :icon_smile_big:

SirNik73

Just a theory.

I loved how the old one claimed to fit into the mythology of our earth. and how it played off all the tales of aleins building the perimids. i think it would be cool if the new one played into history like that.

There is a circle, everything that has happened, will happen again.... remember that, no one has said that the original series didn't exist... I believe this is just the second time around

Yea, there was a short clip during one of the first new BSG that showed a few seconds of an old Centurion in a museum or something.

Dodge Don

And the old base ships....they were used as how the Cylons evolved.

Hopefully they find an Earth advanced and armed to the teeth

TruckDriver

This episode was FRAK'IN awsome! I like this Bulldog guy for some reason.  Looks like we will get to see more of him sooner or later. Was cool too how they explained some of the past of Adama.

Now we have to wait 2 more weeks til the next episode :'( :brickwall:

10pm in what time zone? I actually like Sunday better as when there are truck races or Busch races on Friday night, I won't have to miss the racing.
