I should have at least one 12v cordless drill that is destined for the dumpster. PM me if you want me to go check the shop. It would be yours if you wanted it.  Not sure it would be worth the shipping though.     The batteries are of course toast (cheaper to buy new drill) but since its a 12v system you could tie it to a car battery?

I don't think that was an option.....I'm pretty sure it was standard equipment on all vehicles of that era

actually, we do have one of those jeeps.  the kids are both too big for it and it's in good shape. think it just needs a batter.  maybe I could adapt the drive system for my "rail"

Be careful, that's how it all starts. First it's a 12V drill, then 16V then 18V Before you know it you need an enclosed trailer, and a diesel to pull it all. Oh, and a quad to get around at the track, and a generator, etc...

if he's gonna run the 18v system, it would be best advised to run dual chutes...gotta get all that speed down quickly
