Hey guys,

Buying a '74 parts car. My dash harness in my '73 is kind of screwed up at the dimmer switch.  What I want to know is will a '74 rallye harness work in a '73 rallye dash car?  If not, what are the differences?  I know the seat belt system is different in these cars.

lot of differences to match if you care about correctness... warning signals, seatbelts stuff, starting circuit, and some other wires needing to be turned around at bulkhead

better try to get the right one UNLESS you want to untape everything, splice and replace some wires from one harnes to the other, and remake it for a 72/73 correctly done. I did it twice, but just because Venezuelan 74 Chargers were wired kinda a 71/73 and I got once a 74 harness. Had to modify it to make it work, but saved the removed parts for modify it back again when all the 74 USA stuff was got together, what already did.

OR another and easier option, just cut the section of the harness messed up and replace for same section on the 74, splicing it up together. Soldering and isolating with shrinking tube.

the lightning parts are the same except for the lights on buzzer wires, wat runs to a diff buzzer on a diff location but working the same.

Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html
