I know not everyone likes their magazine but you have to give Mopar Collectors Guide props for featuring several Chargers on one of their new t's.
The theme of the shirt is iconic Mopars and representing the Charger camp is the fastback from Thunder Alley, the General Lee, the Joe Dirt Daytona and the RTfrom Dirty Mary Crazy Larry.

I searched but they don't have it on their website yet.  (what, you think they are like MA or something?)

BrianShaughnessy

Well it sounds like a cool shirt anyway.

The MA shirt is limited edition for the Nats only.   Pretty much unknown until Brett gets them on Friday morning from the vendor and pops open the first box.

I might buy a shirt but no subscription. I ended my subscription over a year ago.

Life is better without reading the same worn out, regurgitated (same story-different car) feature articles refering to the owner as "the boy". :brickwall:

Did I mention the shamless promotion of the editor who's turned a once great car magazine into a running biography of himself, and network of rich collector 'friends" and car builder "buddies" who can afford to get their cars featured?

I don't think I'll buy that shirt afterall. :D

I am surprised to hear that. I thought the magazine offered a different type of vibe. They always feature unusual Mopars and one off cars. No other Mopar magazine does this as often. You look at Mopar Action or Mopar Muscle and they may have like two features and it may be like a 1973 Challenger with a bunch of chrome under the hood. You rarely see cars like Big Willies, Mod Top cars, concept and movie cars in other publications that's what I like to see.

Ghoste

Actually it's the only one I do currently subscribe to personally but the reason for starting the thread wa about the shirt.  I know each magazine doesn't serve the  entire community and if it had been one of the others that had a Charger t-shirt there would be an equal number who didn't like them either.  That's the beauty of free choice and available options.

az69rtcharger

Anyone have a pic of the shirt? or where can I order it, I was on the web site but did not see it

BrianShaughnessy

And still nobody has a lousy pic of this shirt yet ?

Say Brian, I know what you are saying about the MA being a secret until the Nats but you must have some influence over there, do you try and get them to do something Charger?

I don't know what the heck 70% of you are talking about but I do have a pic of a Charger shirt for sale on Amazon. I really like the shirt and would probably wear it three days a week but good God, look at the price! ::)

Scanner 101.

1. Put magazine with picture face down.
2. Scan.
3. Post it.

You don't seriously believe I have the technical skills to operate a damned scanner do you?

Truth be told our scanner has been set aside due to some ongoing home renovations.  I suppose I could have done it at work but that would require planning and forthought and other focus like things.

This was a good find Bull. I just ordered one in Navy. I clicked the name of the company making them "Cafe Press" and followed the link to their site. The I went in search of an online coupon and found it for 15% off. Add in the shipping $7.95 and + $3.00 for a 2XL..... "Shut up, no wise cracks"  :icon_smile_angry:. Subtract 15% and my total was $29.05. I think that's right. Anyway, there are about 8 different colors. BTW, I bought the 1969 Charger shirt instead of the '68 one.
'69 Charger R/T, T5, Tan Top, Tan Interior, Black Stripe. Complete numbers matching 440 4Spd

I was stumped on that red / white / blue 1st gen for awhile until I found this: http://imcdb.org/vehicle_299334-Dodge-Charger-1967.html
The barracuda with the wing is from an old Robert Blake movie 'Corky'.

Just got my shirt. I kinda wish the front had the cars not the back. It is bittersweet looking at it for me even though I own 4 Mopar movie cars at one time I could have bought Corky's Cuda for $6500, Fireball 500 for $3700 and the Joe Dirt Daytona for 40,000:(  For 50K more I could have been the Steve Juliano of movie cars.

Did the Tommy Boy car survive? If anyone knows where the Thunder Alley car is send me a message.

Lets welcome MotoonsByKooz to the site,.. he did the shirt..   :2thumbs:
