I have had my Charger at American Muscle car Resorations since last September. It needed more work then I could handle and more then I ever thought it would need. They ended up replacing both quarters, the rear valance, and corners. I just picked it up over the weekend and I am pleased with the work done on it. When I dropped it off, there was at least 5 gen 2 Chargers there and when I picked it up there were 4.  I am sure there are other members here who have/had cars to be worked on there. The shop works on all makes, but has a large Mopar presence. The red 69 at the bottom is a Mr Norm's hemi Charger. This shop is really something to see so many great cars in it. The Road Runner in the paint booth is a 6 barrel car car. Thought I would share -

My car finally home ready for reassembly!!  :2thumbs:

This is the Rhode Island one?

I'm glad you had a good experience; restoration shops can be hit or miss.

Yes, it is in Rhode Island. It is also the home of Instrument Specialties. Your right about finding a good body shop. I got stuck with a terrible job on a 70 Challenger I had. I really looked for a higher quality shop to do the work on my Charger. it took a while, but settled on AMCR because of the work quality.

The white 69 Charger is a Daytona without the wing or nose on it. They were in a separate room at the time. That is a real nice car that look really great when its finished.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Great pictures. Sounds like a nice shop to take your car to and to work in.

Shouldn't the '69 Daytona have '70 front fenders...? Those look like '68/'69 fenders to me.

Yes, but as you all know, Daytona's started life as regular chargers. the charger fenders are bolted up for the undercoating process so to replicate the exact patterns the car would have exibited originally. The original daytona fenders are restored and waiting to be installed after undercoat.

Yes, Mike put on AMD quarter panels on both sides, the rear lower valance and corners. I had no idea there was so much rot in the car.

19 years ago I took the car to a body shop that "repaired the rust" and painted the car. They actually did a good job of hiding the rot, but instead of repairing rusted sections they blasted them and filled with lots of bondo. This method did hold up pretty well for many years - just wish I had known!
