Nothing... :brickwall:

Total of $1150 sent out to two "Vendors"  :flame:

The first one will be a month this Tuesday.

I got a nice letter in the Mail about a week after they had my money, Thanking me for my order...

No parts... :shruggy:

So, I email them...

"No parts....

What's up" ?

Your parts are on back order...

"It will be a few more weeks"...

"Sorry for the delay"  :icon_smile_angry:

Well, my money wasn't on backorder, now was it?  :scratchchin:

Yes, they billed my credit card right away... :brickwall:

The second one will be two weeks this Thursday.

After the first week that he had my money I e-mailed him for the tracking number for my parts, since

I hadn't heard from him and it had been seven days...

So I assumed they had been shipped...

His reply:

"Sorry, I've been away...

It will ship this afternoon and I'll forward the tracking number to you"...

Then...

Nothin'... :shruggy:

The names of these "vendors" are being withheld...

For now...

I'm Bored! what to do next......

terrible one

I agree. Vendors should expect for a customer to tell others how they were treated, no matter what. It's their choice how they want to treat their customers.  I wouldn't feel bad about letting their names be known here.

I feel your pain! Name them!

I've still got a little glimmer of hope... ::)

At least on the second one... :flame:

...So I'll hold off naming names for a little while longer... :scratchchin:

This IS starting to get my Irish up  :icon_smile_angry: :icon_smile_angry:

That's NEVER a good thing... :rotz:

Just guessing, is autorust.com one of them? I've never ordered anything from them so I can't really say anything bad about them, but I have inquired a couple times on parts I need and everything I've asked about is.... on backorder.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

Unfortunately, many mail order companies work this way (taking payment for items not in stock). Generally, communication is lacking as well. When I was in mail order we only charged when we were ready to ship AND we waived shipping fees on backorders. We knew instantly if the item was in stock - although we didn't notify the the customer unless they asked (had to do with the information being on different screens during the order). An invoice clearly stating the backorder was mailed immediately with an expected ship date (usually within a few days or weeks). Our inventory system was pretty good though so we almost never ran out of anything for more than a couple of days. Lots of companies nowadays don't bother to order (or make the part) until they have a stack of orders waiting.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

That's the thing I hate, zero communication. They take your money and say nothing until you complain and then tell you it's either, 'we were busy doing other things' or 'we don't have anything to send you right now' due to back orders. If they would simply communicate people would be so much happier.

By naming them you might prevent someone else from having the same frustrations as you are experiencing.  Vendors need to be accountable...name them  :popcrn:

Hmmm...I'm guessing engine parts? I ordered some parts a month and a half ago. They had no problem charging my card for parts they had no idea when would ship. Still waiting... :-\

This is happening to me all the time now, even with companies that I have done a lot of business with in the past. Since the beginning of the downfall of western civilization a few years ago, you need to add your list questioning any time you intend to buy: Is the part in stock, what the estimate delivery time is, and what the cancellation policy is. Welcome to the new world.

Unfortunately you are correct. ::)

If they have actually charged your CC then be sure to call your credit card company and put in a dispute now, before you pay your monthly bill. Lots of times they will defer the interest charges. At a minimum they should put a jab in the side of the company for pulling funds before they even have it to ship.

This is the new world order. Don't have any money tied up in stock. Get enough orders to pay for the entire "stock" order and then have them in stock for sale. I typically don't buy anything unless its in stock. I end up making multiple orders and paying a bit more in shipping sometimes but it's worth the savings in aggravation.   :RantExplode: :pullinghair:

Too late  :flame:

"Vendor" #1 Charged my credit card immediately, when the bill came about a week later, dumb assed

me paid it. :brickwall:

"Vendor" # 1 has had my money for one month as of this Wednesday. ::)

That's my limit. :flame:

Wednesday evening I'll be "outing" them here, if I've not received satisfaction.

Update:

"Vendor" #2 has responded to me this evening.

I was satisfied with his reason for not yet shipping my part.

It will be shipped on Wednesday.

He's off the hook...

I have a current issue like that from XV Motorsports.  I bought several chassis stiffening pieces from them NINE MONTHS ago, and I'm still waiting for parts.

I tried to purchase some stuff from them and got the run around from them. Sound like i was better off not buying from them .
