1969 Charger Ignitionswitch change

Just a simple wonder, what is the best way to change the switch without tearing the whole dash apart? Better to ask before than discover later that you overdid it

Unhook the terminals on the rear, unscrew the bezel on the front and pull it straight out.

Unhook the terminals on the rear, unscrew the bezel on the front and pull it straight out.

It's pretty simple. There's a special tool to remove the lock ring but it can be done with normal tools if you're careful (or if yours is already mangled).
