What does everyone pay for registration on thier Charger.

I got mine the other day and for my 67 Charger it was $68
and that is just for one year.

same here in Washington State...but it was a one time fee of $55...after that...never have to see DMV again

Ah! that's one thing you pay more for in Aus than we do. In NZ for 6 months (any car) it's $147.80 NZ, or $287.87
For one year and if the car's 40 years or older you pay half price then again, you make more $ than we do so
it hardly matters  in 2012 my 72 will cost me half price to register (just in time for the end of the World)

Here in NJ we only pay a 1 time fee for Historic plates.  The ones for my Chevelles were $33 and you have to renew them every 3 years at no cost.  The ones I put on the Charger were vanity tags and cost $86 but the same deal, renew every 3 years at no cost.

This is what burns me up. I have comprehensive insurance on all my vehicles which covers all the mandatory 3rd party claims in the event of an accident. I believe that if you can show you have current comprehensive insurance, you should not have to pay through registration. It is just a double up. How else will the Government rip us blind

That's good (the mandatory 3rd party insurance) weird how it covers the people in the other Car though? not yourself? here in NZ, Auto insurance is not mandatory.

Oh look, if you were seriously injured enough to make some sort of claim I'm sure it would happen through that govt. insurance.
The point I was making was that the rego included insurance to cover personal injuries to people. Not their cars or your car.

75 bucks for me.  I can get historic plates which are much cheaper but the plate I have been using carrie a lot of personal history for me so I still use it.

In Pa it's 72 bucks for lifetime. That was about 9 years ago.

In Ct. $85 for two years with antique plates. I believe the regular reg. is the same price. The only benefit of having antique plates is for property taxes. If you have the antique plates, the vehicle is only assessed on a value of $500 for property tax purposes.
