I'm getting ready to mount my new tires on my new magnum 500's. I have 15x8 wheels for the rear with 275-60-15 skins and 15x7 wheels for the front with 225-70-15 skins. These are going on my triple black 68 Charger. What do you guys prefer, white letters out or in?

Whites OK, BUT.....REDLINES are the way to go.

The picture of the green Charger with the letters out is the original color of my car, thanks for posting it. My choice before I asked what everybody else thought was to put the white letters in. My tires are B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's. If I had an unlimited budget I would have put redline radials on. I promised myself that once my Charger was finished I would keep it as a tribute to the famous bullitt Charger for one year. I did that and now that is slowly coming to and end. Late last fall I installed my matte black stripe. This spring the new wheels and tires are going on. Later this summer the 426 Hemi is going in and with the price of fuel my car will more than likely become a 1:1 scale diecast garage ornament. My new license plates say KNG KONG.

White out, I'm going to order some bfg's and that is my plan. The only reason the black is out now is because I have mismatched tires.

Whites out for me, but on your 3X black I would put them inside.

I also agree a set of redlines would POP

White letters out for me to!!!!! Also, don't drop the bullit hubcaps either, keep them to switch out every now and then. :2thumbs:

I may be obsessed with black. I have black paint, black stripe, black vinyl top, black interior, black rubber floor mats with black R/T emblems molded into them. My thought on this car was the white letters would stick out like a sore thumb. A good friend has a set of repop redline polyglass tires on magnum 500's. I was afraid to try them on because I probably wouldn't have wanted to take them off.

The hubcaps will be wrapped up in soft foam, boxed up, and put away. I won't have the option to put them back on because I'm robbing the 14" tires and putting them on my wifes 67 GTX.

White out for me!  I had not washed her yet so it still had blue walls!  in your case I would go in.  It might stick out too much.  Thanks for your help with the engine pics by the way ...I will have to send you some of my progress ...I have the same tire size on mine also...love the look!

Your 68 looks awesome! Now I have an idea of what my car will look like with the new wheels and tires. Its taken me 2 years to buy the wheels, tires, center caps, and lugnuts. I prefer to save and pay as I go. My cookie jar money is now spent for this year....

Personally, I like the Bullit look your car currently has going, however, if you were going with the all chrome Magnum style wheels, then definately the white letters should be out.  :yesnod:
