I don't see any of the Ebay examples with the Mopar logo and numbers. Guess I'll have to try saving $40 and restore this one.

Better yet, next time I'm getting some stuff redone in yellow zinc I'll have the OE housing replated and swap the new guts into it.

As mentioned, It's the horn relay and it  mounts to the pass side of the radiator support. I had the can replated and provided it fits plan to swap out the guts from an aftermkt relay.
Next time I'm in our local mopar junkyard I may pull as many originals off as I can and redo them

Nos originals have gotten extremely hard = expensive to find.

If you do happen on an nos original be prepaired to spend at least $50 on it, and if it happens to have a good date on it for the 68 to 70 models years. be prepaired to at least double that.

Oh, just an FYI based on something I've learned on my restoration. If any of you guys are planning to have something plated, like Bill's relay housing above, do NOT prep it by medai blasting it. Way too much etching for the finish you are going to want. Media blasting is awesome for parts that get painted or powder coated but not for much of anything that's going to be plated.

And yes, everything I've shown thats been replated has been glass bead cleaned . It does change the surface ever so slightly but it really depends on how fine the media being used is

Well this thread inspired me to find mine from the parts stash. It's rough and not working but has the part numbers and date code that reads "0408" which after reading your reply Bill I guess means 40th day of '68. I guess I'll keep it around. How much would it cost to replate the case? I'm sure it's cheaper if you have more to send at once yeah?

correct, 0408 is 40th day of 1968 or 1978 if the pt number happend to still exist then

plating can be either really cheap or extremely expensive per part - all depending on how much is in the bucket to be plated.

I snagged four of them the other day and had them and my original housing plated along with the original hold-down bolts. Then I bought four aftermarket relays for the internals (one more is on order). Counting mine there is one coded for 1967 and four coded for 1968. Might as well have them back on running cars instead of rusting away.

They're all on Ebay right now but none of them are date coded for a '69... if that's an issue.
