Funny, I always thought he was much older when he died from a heart attack.  Time flies.

Want to see a hemi start and idle?  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tl2e1NIcBFs  Kim

Sorry to hear that.  My father died at 57 due to a heart failure as well.  It's way too young.

Kim, does it at all strike you as odd that someone would post a random personal longevity of life statistic and then a video of a 426 Hemi in the same post? The way your brain works is very strange.

The sound of mopar muscle start and idle are just what a man needs to clear his thoughts....

I guess I can buy that. Maybe my opinion has been skewed by all the crazy-ass stuff he's said before.

Understatement of the century.

But that could be said for a couple others around this joint.  ;)

Is it a requirement to have a brain to be on DC.com:shruggy:  I mean, I have one, but it hasn't turned up since I moved a few years ago.  I know it wasn't thrown away, but, just in case I don't ever find it, I need to know that I can still read and post here.

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I could explain it but it's really kinda boring.  The saddest part is not one person has looked at the video and that was a purpose behind the posting.  Oh, I should plug wolfram alpha as they determined the 21,213 days.  Kim

My dad died at 70, and for a while I wasn't sure I was going to make it even that long. Now, after making some better choices it looks like I will outdo my old man too. I would feel like an idiot if I didn't since he smoked like a chimney for something like 55 years.

It's weird sometimes.  My dad was in relatively good health until Jan 23, 1987.  I have been an insulin dependent diabetic since July, 1972 (I am guessing on the date) and have given myself maybe 40,000 shots and am still around.  But he was married to my evil step mother and I have had wonderful relationships with all the women I have dated except one, evil Kim.

I wrote a Christmas poem in 2002 (okay, I am a pita to my family as well and it's not worth decoding):

You rhymed "bar" with "bar" in the 5th an 6th lines, which is lame. Otherwise, it brought a tear to my eye. Especially when you spoke of pbagevohgrq.

Only one person in my family figured it out, boohoo. Thanks to all who checked out the video.  I had the car out for a ride a few days ago and almost forgot how much fun it is.  Kim

Jibberish, jabberish, crypto'd rhyme I have written
Structure tortured, sentence backward, stretching thoughts so they're fittin'
It passes so quickly, the time without reason
My logical brain to write rhyme this is teasin'
Okay, let's be frank, less than half will read this one,
To you, well hello, to the others, well they missed one.

Upon us is Christmas, decked in green, pinely smelling,
The red soldiers with their pots and their gloves loudly belling.
Hannukah, or Kawanza or whatever's your notion,
Grab a glass, quaff a few, toast them all with your potion.
While me, roguely living, for some girls I'll be pining,
Opportunities? Not explored... look at me, am I whining?

Back to business, back to me, this past year I've been welding,
My mechanics and my sculptin', once apart I am melding.
Lacking talent, like this verse, sometimes forced, they are blended
Concepts good, so so welds, causing discussion as intended.
Is it right brain or the left? One or the other I am missing
Determination, I don't lack, so the art I ain't dissin'

My job? Still the same, litigation never lacking,
One quick Motion to the Judge and away they go packing.
My love life, while alone, I still am calmly dating,
Thought I had it, then I didn't, but still looking, so I'm stating.
Jennifer, Jan, Jill, and Dina, wow, they were all great,
Same with Rachelle, Pat, and Sherry but not Kim who I hate.

The women all contributed and forged my young soul,
To be honest and kindly, they all made me whole.
Now onward and upward to face this fair season,
To write verse, waste some time, making rhymes without reason.
With this mess is a bauble, I thought it so pleasant.
Thought of you when I saw it, so I give you this present.

No more books, not this year, so you need not fear it.
So I figured just a chatchke to lighten your spirit.
As I mentioned last year, it is no mistake,
Bring a song to your heart, leaving more than you take
Live your life spreading joy, being kind, doing favors.
And to peacefully live, quit throwing rocks at your neighbors.
