...must fix passenger side door...won't open from the inside and only opens from the outside with a key it seems...spawns far too many "DOH" jokes about rolling down the window and climbing in and out.   :icon_smile_wink:

Just paint it orange and the jokes will change

Patronus

roll up the window, take off the arm rest and door panel. Look up in there and check to make sure the little link arm is still clipped on. Super easy...

Fixed it Sunday.  Ex-AZ car...the grease had dried like glue.  A little WD-40 to the rescue and some new grease.  :2thumbs:  I also repainted the plastic lower panels while I had them off.  The only problem is that I apparently mixed up the wires on the ps power window.  I have to look at it again.  I did get the sunroof open, which was awesome, and cured most of my valve cover leak with some judicious tightening.   :2thumbs:

must be unusual for the passenger side to fail. isn't it usually the driver's side?  :pity:

Fingers crossed I am two for two for fixing valve cover leaks without pulling a cover.  I also loosened the front of the valve cover on the Wife's 12 cyl jag, snuck some blue gasket snot in, then snugged it down.  I drove it all day today with no oil smell, smoke or leak observed.  Time to buy a lottery ticket!  Doing a valve cover gasket on a V12 is nuts!

I've worked on V 12's....your an optimist for certain!

No kidding.  No heat all winter.  Checked the valve and it was fine and should default to heat.  Saw a post online that indicated there might be an air bubble in the heater core.  Went out this morning and suddenly got a low coolant warning.  Added a half gallon of water.  Poof...instant heat...that I can't turn off...just in time for summer  :RantExplode:

No progress on the Charger due to this %@$#% illness!  Just got antibiotics today.  It is still in the garage with the sunroof open and the psg window half up because I somehow screwed up the door switch power window wiring.

On the plus side, checked with the machine shop sitting on my 340 (318 rod knock is getting nasty) just to remind him he said he would get to it in May, and he seems on schedule.

:pity: Did the same thing with my Cherokee, super overhaul of the cooling system determined to have "heat" for the cold weather and it's 90 today! I got sick working on it in cold weather and spent my week off work in bed sick!  :eek2: Now I gotta fix the A/C system.... :flame:

Yeah I finally checked to see if the AC system was holding pressure...it isn't...so back to R&D on a 134a switch...which I will probably complete just in time for them to change to something new (pending I hear).

I'm struggling with Cherokee parts for the 2-40 air system still! (2 windows down @ 40 mph) Bought L/R window registers off eBay in Dec. only to find ones for REAR doors were sent. (mine is a 2 door) Then last Sat. found the new window channels ordered (having stressed 2 door) are for a 4 door. (Only after gutting the entire drivers door)  :eek2: I can't wait to get back to working on the only car that matters....the CHARGER!
