I have a mirror off of a 71 charger passengers that is a bit too loose and wont stay in place, Ive tried to tighten the 2 Phillip screws but cant get to one of them. anyone know what kind of tool would me me out???
I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, but I'm all out of bubble gum.

its not the fact that it doesn't hold in place its when I adjust it after i start driving the mirror "adjusts itself".

Oh! the mirror itself, and not the support!

in that case the screws inside the cup holds the pivot system to the cup has nothing to do. The mirror I think it is basically a ball joint and is being loosen, maybe fixable.

THE CORRECT WAY TO GET access to the two phillip screws inside the cup to fix this balljoint it's really breaking the glass and using a regular screwdriver through the glass baseplate what have couple of holes to get access to them.

HOWEVER maybe if screws are not stuck, you can get acces to an L shaped screwdriver.

On one mirror I have I can loose one of the screws but not the other, is stuck, and the L shaped scredriver doesn't provide me a firm way to loosen it, so only way I have is breaking the glass.

If was posible to remove the glass without break it will be great! I have tried with solvents to melt the glue without success
