I think that's what I was trying to convey but didn't do a very good job.  Back when they were affordable for the most part, if I would have bought one of the 11 Birds' that someone local had I can guarantee I would have had spare pieces.
I can remember not so long ago Galen's newsletters' with For Sale ads showing wrecked Daytonas' & Birds for less than $10k.  I think some were Patik's?  

I still have '68 Coronet grills & misc. from when I owned a '68 Coronet R/T in '84 cause I worried about other drivers'.

an earlier post has me curious about clones running around with factory parts on them. id think that would be a pretty low number?

I know of at least one clone - a 1970 Charger, that has a complete ORIGINAL Daytona nose assembly! (My pictures!)

The other 2 cars would be the charger 500's converted to daytonas .That blue Hemi 138602 .And the Green Dave Shultz car.That both had noses etc.Where those parts go

Saw this NOS daytona nose at a show in the 80-s $3000.00 I didnt have to spend.This place was is in Indiana  


Another NOS nose got past me came with car I tried to get in Arlington TX.That was in Houston for years

A Complete ORIGINAL Front Nose Cone Assembly For A 1969 Dodge Daytona.
Talk about an impossible set of parts to find, this assembly has been in storage for the last 25+ years. It includes the following:
Front Nose Cone
Front Nose Cone Center Grill with Rubber Edge
Left and Right Headlight Assemblies (both operate freely)
Rubber Seal

 While my car is not a daytona , it does have OEM bird front end complete and a real bird wing on it .

Theres a guy in town bought his superbird in 72 nose is best part of the car .I told him to remove and run glass one .Or sell it and do more to the car Because accidents happen and real parts just are not easliy obtained.Repos are your best bet.Spare the original parts

speaking of wayne , he is a longtime multiple daytona owner who drives the heck out of his cars and also has had several accidents .    just a couple pictures here

 It sure would have been a shame if wayne had let these set backs deture him from driving the cars and letting him and all of us be able to enjoy them .    They can be fixed .

try jack at wingcarfab.com he can make you a new nose cone.or repair your damaged one. he also makes other parts for your daytona. not cheep but he does excellent work. hope that helps
