Hi there
just need some advice on wheels & tire sizes.

i guess its smart to ditch the 14's and go 15's for tire availability if nothing else

so im thinking 15 x 8 on rear and 15 x 7 on front

would 255 on back and 235 on front be ok or should i go 235 and 215 or something smaller?

Hi OZ,

I went to 15" wheels recently, 15x8's on the rear with 275/60 15's and 15x7's up front with 235/60 15's. Now that I've had them on the car for a few months I will be replacing the front tires with 245/15 60........these tires are .5 inch taller and a little wider too. They'll fill the wheel out more and shouldn't offer any rubbing problems. A buddy has 254's on the front of his 69 with no problems. The wheels I bought are Magnum 500's from Wheel Vintiques. What ever you do DO NOT buy wheels from WV!
My 500's weren't on the car more than a couple weeks when the black paint began peeling off. WV customer service consisted of sending me a used rattle can of black paint! :flame: WV are arseholes!

for american racing its $475 per wheel down here! ones im looking at are $275 each. a little more realistic  :yesnod:

I have 15x7 Rallye's all around.  My rears are 275/60's and my fronts are 235/70's.  275/60 will fit on a 15x7, but you can't go any wider from what I've been told.  If you want to do 295's you'll need a 15x8.

There is some good info in this thread started by BLUE68RT4ME.  Not all 15's, but plenty are and with pics.
