The only thing standing between me and one of those is the number in my checkbook. I'll have to settle for my old '09 SRT8.  :drive:
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Other than a bunch of decals & an inflated price tag, what's so special about a Kawolski Edition Viper? Does it drive into a front end loader at the end of the day?

The problem with Dodge these days is that they build too many special edition cars. For the last 7 years, there was a new special edition Viper every 6 months & they're doing it with the Challenger now. Enough is enough.

I must be the only Mopar fan who was a teenager in the '70s that never saw Vanishing Point and, therefore, don't give a crap about Kowalski or anything labelled Kowalski.

It is just a dealership stripe package.  You would be better off with a Mr Norms, Hurst or SMS car.

I saw car #1 and car #3 this weekend at MATS.  They really do look better in person, as odd as that sounds.  It is essentially a custom order, limited run from a dealer.  In the late model Chally world Frederick is the equivalent of what Mr. Norm was back in the day, he just has a devoutcult following.

The cars have a few special badges, the obvious stripe delete, I believe an upgraded shifter, and an optional Flowmaster exhaust.  For a real die hard Vanishing Point fan it would be incredibly cool.  For anyone else, a regular, ol' 392 would suffice and you can build the extra couple thousand on the upgrades of your choice.  The markup is maybe 2-3x the cost of what the added accessories run and I think it is just more or less a nod from the dealer to the following of Kowalski.  You do get re-pop Colorado plates with the purchase fwiw, lol.

A few would point out things like Kowalski's was an R/T etc etc.  It is a nice gesture if nothing else and seeing as there are only 10 it was cool to see them in person.  I still got more excited to see a few DC.com member's cars, but sure didn't complain about seeing the Kowalski's.  A lot of people sort of out of the loop on late model stuff just wondered what the white Challengers were doing, lol.

I've got pics, but this connection at the hotel is crawling.  I hardly ever say it, but the cars really do have more of a presence in person than just over the net.  I'm sure the folks that wound up with them will be very proud owners  :yesnod:
