He folks,

I did a search on this and can't seem to find out what the deal is.  I remember it was posted, but can't find it.  Anyrate, some Mopars seem to have two exterior color codes listed, and yet others have one.  For instance, I had a previous 69 XP Charger that was B5, white top, B7 interior, built at the Hamtramck Plant in September of 69.  When you looked at the tag, it was  B5 listed as the exterior code once.  Coincidentally, I now have a 69 RT/SE, built 12-12, same plant, also B5, white top, B7 interior and B5 listed once as the exterior color.  But I've seen St. Louis cars stamped with B5 B5.  Why two codes where others have one?  Any ideas? :shruggy:

Cheers

normally two color codes on the tag is body color and roof color, vinyl may have been added by dealer or factory goof up i ve nver seen a factory vinyl car not coded for it but being chrysler anything is possible.

tan top is correct in his statement....
Hamtramck built cars that were not coded for a vinyl top got 2 exterior codes....if it was also coded for a top, it got only 1 exterior color code

St. Louis built cars got 2 exterior color codes weather or not it was coded for a vinyl top....

Why? :shruggy:
