While dropping the gas tank today, I removed a body plug by the drivers side rear fender and inside the cavity was a folded piece of paper, I pulled it out and carefully opened it up and found this Trim Sheet

Brock Samson

DustinSimmonds

I have never seen this before either, its a Trim Code Sheet, I will try to scan it later and look at it closer, its so brittle and I'm amazed it survived where it was located, but there again I have not drove the car since 85 and I bought it in 78, plus its an Arizona Car too. I can't wait to see what else I find as I strip the car down

It would be great to match the sheet info to the assembly plant and car's build date. Do you know that info? Either way, what a awesome piece of history to locate.  :yesnod:

Makes you wonder how many rare surviving documents like this have been destroyed along the way during restorations, bodywork etc....

DustinSimmonds

Yea, honestly if I would find something like this I probably wouldn't have saved it! I'll make sure to save everything I find from now on!  :yesnod:

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Brock Lee

So cool! I bet many that ended up in there were destroyed by water. That is a rot prone area.

Alaskan_TA

Thanks Mike!

I just forwarded it to my webmaster, I am sure he will have it added soon.

My 72 Charger had an old Florida license plate wedged down in there.  I knew it came out of florida since it had an air force decal on the front bumper. Nothing else cool was in there, though.

You mean the previous owners?  :smilielol: As long as they aren't the original dead rats from '72.
